Hello guys! As you can see, Forum Mafia XVII is in the progress for quite a long time. But I still have many, many insteresting ideas for the future! I will make sure that SC2 community will stay alive and have many intersting and exciting games. I'm going to lend you some of my "ideas" so that future game hosts can reserve then for thenselves.

Today I came up with another intersting idea for the new game setup. I suppose that it can be used with both mainstream Forum Mafia and M-FM. Let's just say what will happen when two players gain control of a single account? What will happen if two power roles merge into one, much more powerful role?

The name and theme of my next project is "Digimon Xros Wars". You then try to guess what is the main mechanic of that game setup!

I'm planning to reveal details of my current project over time, to keep you excited. Stay tuned!

Alright, starting from today, I'll start slowly revealing the details of the new project.

The game will include the following factions: Town, Mafia, Neutral Evil, Neutral Benigh. There will be no Masons, Rebels or Cult because of DigiXros mechanic in the game. Outside of DigiXros, only Mafia gets the shared night chat with each other. Large-scale FM might include additional night chat group as well.

Taiki Kudō, a 7th grade boy, heard a mysterious melody and followed it to an alley where a mysterious, legendary Digivice called the Xros Loader appeared in front of him. Accompanied by his friends, Akari Hinomoto and Zenjirō Tsurugi, they were dragged into the Digital World. They soon realized that the Digital World was a place inhabited by living creatures named Digimon and is now slowly being taken over by an evil empire named the Bagra Army. Now, Taiki and his "Xros Heart" team become an important figure to free the world from the Bagra Army, led by their Emperor Bagramon.
When the Digital World was separated into 108 Zones with an element named "Code Crown" placed in each Zone, it invites few parties to collect the Code Crown to claim each Zone, to achieve the goal into uniting and taking over the Digital World. Feeling the strong responsibility to save the world, Taiki forms his own group named Xros Heart, which is considered a strong threat to the Bagra Army, and battles along with some other parties including another human boy, Kiriha Aonuma, and his Blue Flare group. Also a human girl, Nene Amano, with her team Twilight.
However, Nene is later revealed to be a figurehead for Twilight's true leader DarkKnightmon, who blackmailed her into aiding him. But when he attempts to dispose of her once she outlived her usefulness, Nene joins Xros Heart. Later on, Xros Heart learns that the Code Crowns have the power to make the wishes of those who reunite them come true, but Bagramon manages to take them all while Taiki, Akari, and Zenjirō are sent back to the human world along with Shoutmon and Tactimon. With Xros Heart's core members disposed of, it revealed Bagramon has a younger brother DarkKnightmon as they begin their reign over the Digital World.
Ending up in their hometown of Kyoto, the human Xros Heart members and Shoutmon meet Omnimon, a DigiMemory-sealed Digimon who gave Taiki his red Xros Loader. However, a giant Tactimon appears causing havoc, but thanks to the courage of Akari and friendship of Zenjirō, Shoutmon is able to digivolve to OmegaShoutmon and destroys Tactimon for good. Then, Omnimon use his remaining energy to send Taiki and Shoutmon back to the Digital World while Akari and Zenjirō wait for their chance to return the Digital World to assist Taiki.

Factions will probably involve the names of Xros Heart, Twilight, and the others mentioned above.
There could be something involving these "zones" that it talks about.

Alright, as I promised, I'll start revealing the game details on a daily basis. First I will explain to you what DigiXros is.

DigiXros is a form of Digivolution that is central to the plot of Digimon Fusion. DigiXros involves multiple Digimon, known as "DigiXros Units", combining into stronger forms, but also involves attributes of Mode Changing, allowing the Units to rearrange their data and became body-parts or weapons for the new form. The gestalt entity is usually controlled by the Unit with the most powerful soul, but especially for Forced DigiXroses, the lead Unit can change if one member's soul overpowers the others.

Players can experience the DigiXros by voluntarily merging with each other. During the day, in addition to standard lynch, the town can vote to DigiXros two Digimon players. On Day 1 only DigiXros vote is available, without any lynch. The town chooses a favored Digimon pair and votes to DigiXros then. Unlike lynch, vote to DigiXros does not require the majority of 51% votes, but it requires two Digimon that are about to DigiXros to vote together for their own DigiXros. At the end of day, the pair with the most votes (which does not require more than 50% votes) becomes DigiXrossed into a single new Digimon. The fusion is permanent. Fused players will have a shared night chat with each other, learn the roles of each other and can decide who gets control the fused Digimon's day account.

Update time! This time I will tell you a little about how DigiXros mechanic works in the game.

As I said before, two players that have DigiXrossed together will have a permanent night chat with each other. Furthermore, both of then will get access to a single Digimon account. That "fused" Digimon will gain 1-auto vest (making him difficult to kill during the night). In addition to that, the fused Dugimon will have the power of 2 votes (as he consists of 2 Digimon units). It also gains all abilities of the roles that were absorbed in the fusion, and will be able to use up to both abilities at the same time. But all of his night actions must be used on a single primary target. If there are two targets (like in case with Bus Driver or Witch), pick one of those targets as primary and set second action onto that target.

Now time to pick an example. What if two power roles get to DigiXros with each other? What will be the resulting Digimon? Let's say that Sheriff and Escort decided to DigiXros together. As a result of DigiXros, the fused Digimon will have abilities of both Sheriff and Escort at the same time. Since all those abilities must be used on a single primary target, the fused Digimon can use his new power in multiple ways:

He can check another Digimon for being a Mafia (Sheriff)
He can roleblock his target (Escort)
He also can both roleblock and check his target at the same time. (Result of Sheriff+Escort fusion).

In addition to that, as I said before, the fused "Escorting Sheriff" will get 1-autovest and the power of 2 votes. But that's not all! Not only the fused Digimon becomes stronger, it also becomes much smarter, because it is already the fusion of two Digimon who can communicate with each other! Sounds pretty cool, right?

It's time to update this thread once again! Yesterday I revealed to you what will happen when two Town roles DigiXros together. The result will be an even stronger Town role. But what will happen when two Digimon of different factions merge with each other?

As I already said, the game will include Town, Mafia, Neutral Evil and Neutral Benigh factions. Of course the major drawback of a DigiXros that if you cross a Town role with non-Town role, the results will be really bad for Town itself. Here are several examples that will help you to navigate:

Digixros Town+Town=Stronger Town
Digixros Town+Mafia=Stronger Mafia
Digixros Mafia+Mafia=Stronger Mafia
Digixros Neutral Evil+Town=Stronger Neutral Evil
Digixros Neutral Evil+Mafia=Stronger Mafia

Sound really bad, right? So of course Mafia and other scum will try to find a way to DigiXros with Town or even themselves to gain an advantage over Town and eliminate possible Town Power roles out of the way. So make sure that the person that you are going to DigiXros with is a trusted town member!

The Neutral roles are even more of a wild card. They can be both helpful and harmful to any faction that tries to DigiXros with then. I will reveal to you only two examples for now:

Digixros Any Role+Jester=Jester
Digixros Any Role+Student=Stronger Any Role.

But even with such great risks included DigiXros is still a important way for Town to get closer to victory. What is the primary reason to DigiXros in the first place? Find out in the next update!

Alright! Time to reveal to you the primary antagonists of this game. They are also one of the reasons why Town needs to DigiXros with each other.

The Godfather and Neutral Evil role start the game as a single DigiXrossed Digimon. Each of then has two abilities while being controlled by a single player. The Godfather starts with detection immunity + one of the Hidden Mafia abilities. The Neutral Evil role, better known as "Unknown Virus" starts the game with two abilities of the Hidden Neutral Evil roles. Note that while they have 1-auto vest, their vote power for gameplay purpose is still 1 instead of 2.

Here are the examples of combinations Godfather can start with:

Here are the examples of combinations Neutral Evil role can start with. Note that both actions must be directed on a single primary target.

Those roles are incredibly dangerous as they start the game fused, but fused Town roles should be more than a match against then. The Fusion mechanic will be futher discussed in the next update.

Now for another update! I will tell you a little more about Town roles and what benefits they can get from DigiXrossing with each other.

Let's start with ordinary Citizens. A Citizen's power lies in his vote, right? So DigiXrossing 2 Citizens at once will give then a nice bonus to keep their vote power. A Digimon which fusions consist of only Citizens, cannot be blackmailed or controlled by Ventriloquist. That is the power of "Super Citizen".

Next on the line is Sheriff - an investigative role. So you know that Godfather has detection immunity from investigative roles? No more! Just DigiXros Sheriff with another investigative role. The following roles are classified as investigative: Sheriff, Detective, Lookout, and Coroner. DigiXros Sheriff with one of then, and you will gain the Digimon that CAN detect invisible Godfather. The same is true for Detective and Lookout as well. So in general terns, even small fry like Coroner can be very useful in this game, provided if they are DigiXrossed with the right Digimon.

There is also another role combination that works very well - Sheriff+Vigilante. By DigiXrossing the two of then together, you will gain a new power! Now this fused Digimon can simply check his target, and if that target is Mafia, he can attack him right on the spot! And if his target is not suspicious, then he will not make a shot either. But be aware - a Framer can take advantage of that. Unlike previous example, this fusion cannot be used to detect Godfather, and Framer can make him killing innocent Digimon as well. So be careful and keep in mind that you can also choose to use one action instead of two!

However there are also role combinations that do not work very well with each other, because both actions must be directed on a single target. For example, avoid combinations like Doctor+Vigilante. You will miss either a heal, or a town kill. Similarily, the combinations of actions that override each other should also be avoided: Blackmailer+Ventriloquist, Witch+Escort/Consort.

I already told you how CitizenX2 has immunity from blackmailer and ventriloqust. SheriffX2 can detect Godfather. VigilanteX2 will be able to kill fused Digimon that would othervise survive the attack with their 1 auto-vest. At the same time, DoctorX2 can heal his target more effectively - he can protect his target from any number of attacks (normal Doctor protects only from 1 attack).

But for that bonus to work, a Doctor must preform a DigiXros with another Town Protective role (Doctor, Bodyguard, Bus Driver, Escort).

Escort X2 (or Escort fused with another Protective role) will be able to roleblock roles that would otherwise be immune to roleblocks (such as Serial Killer or Veteran).

Anyway, now I feel like I want to update this thread again. Do you really think that you can DigiXros only two Digimon at once?

You can include even more than two Digimon in a DigiXros. You can DigiXros already fused Digimon with a solitary unfused Digimon:

DigiXros Detective/Lookout + Doctor = LookoutX3 (tracks, watches and heals his target, and can see the Godfather as the bonus)

You can even fuse two pairs of already fused Digimon, but results can sometimes be worse that usual:

Digixros Bodyguard/Citizen + Coroner/Framer = FramerX4. Even stronger Mafia with 3-autovests and power of 4 votes. Can both frame and protect his target at the same time. If he choose to kill his target, he may even perform an autopsy on the victim afterwards!

Certain days will also allow you to fuse three solitary Digimon at once instead of two, but this should only occur in large-scale Forum Mafia. Here is an example:

DigiXros Citizen + Student + Sheriff = SheriffX3. Has 2 auto-vests and power of 3 votes, but does not gain any other bonuses when crossed with those roles.
