New role - i thought about this alot. Postman

Goal - lynch the mafia.

Abillity - Able to send a letter(single message) to a person at night.(probally done during the day but appears at night).

If u recieve a letter, u may send a letter back to the postman.(only once if your contacted).
Postman recieves this letter at morning.

Postman may send one letter each night.

The Bnet is already sick with retarded people, so if this role will be implemented I will not be surprised if players will receive a message from postman like "Suck my dick!" and THEN write another letter back to the postman with words like "Fuck off, you bitch".

Trust me, things like that will certainly happen. The only difference between PMs - you don't know yet who the postman is!

Also, if you are serious about this role there should be a counterrole with very similar powers who is mafia based. I think that if anything this matchup would be good for the maf so they could find the Witch and ally with her.

This role would have some merit if it had a way to validate information they receive from their target. Without that, it's really just a once per night PM, since people can easily lie.

As it stands this role seems a bit pointless.

isn't the game about lying and decieving and trusting people? You know its the postman, your talking too, so town shouldn't lie to you. Only the mafia or bad people will lie to you. In the reply message u can tell the postman stuff you've found out, without revealing who u r during the day. Postman in effect can eventually figure out who everyone is, simply by looking at the actions of people.

Many think mayors role is useless. I wasn't trying to think of an OP role, just a small role that would be interesting.

How about this, to make it bit more interesting. If you are visited by the postman, u may post a letter to anyone u want with a message yourself. FOr he will post it for u to them.

This adds a level of lying, but also confirmation, a doctor can say, that time u were attacked i healed you. Or you can say, to a sheriff if your an investigator, check this guy he might be such and such, without actually revealing your an investigator to the mafia.

you would type like -daypm 3(number of player) I am the Postman blahblahblah
it would say what u were saying and to who kind of like last wills.

During the night it would automatically send and the player who recieved it could reply during the night by typing -daypm message and the postman/evil postman would recieve it(whoever sent it) the next morning after kills went through.

How about a seperate role for mafia called Milkman.
His ability - Steal a persons last will in the morning before they wake up.

Also you wouldn't know if postman or the evil postman(needs a better name.) visited you.

yes u would. It would say, at night a letter has arrived that says such and such. Whole idea is that u know its the postman, then u automatically know who the postman is.

if u had an anoymous evil postman it would be too easy for mafia, to lie and such. thats like having an evil jailor.

that is the point, having 100% trustable roles is dumb in a game about lies.
