Hard proof against three cheaters. Replay + screenshots.

Just played a game in which three friends cheated. Two of them were mafia, the third was a sheriff who did nothing but mislead the town and prevent us from actually playing the game.

I have never complained about cheaters and trolls before, and I usually brush them off. But these three are the kind of people who make the game completely unplayable. To top it off, one of them was stoked about finally winning the game as all mafia roles, so I thought it would be fitting to see him banned (or whatever can be done to him).

This is on the US server.

The three players' SC2 usernames are DemonicChips (chosen mafia name: Skinny Guy), leon (chosen mafia name: Phoenix Wright), and PBandJTime (chosen mafia name: Sexy Guy). DemonicChips (Skinny Guy) was the sheriff, the other two were mafia.

Points to note:
•DemonicChips (Skinny Guy; Sheriff) began misleading the town before he could have scanned. I thought he was just goofing around, so I didn't even notice it until he got a fellow townie lynched.
•PBandJTime (Sexy Guy) said in mafia chat that DemonicChips (Skinny Guy) is his friend and is helping them win.
•Leon (Phoenix Wright) said in mafia chat to kill me so he wouldn't get banned. This was done after I said I was submitting the replay here. I guess he didn't know I can see mafia chat in replays.

I can't implement a hard-coded banlist because I have no way of identifying players by bnet name or ID via triggers.

I can't implement an in-game permaban system because there is no due process if a mod, at the spur of the moment, bans a player. Besides, all this does is force the player to delete their bank file to circumvent the ban (points and achievements are lost though).


There are tons of cheaters, but there is not much I personally can do.

With improved security, bring back the mighty command of -erase. Those without hats, are without honour!

In one game I played, a message saying "x player is a hacker! Report him to Blizzard!" was displayed in the chat log immediately as the map loaded. What was that about?
