My New Year Mystery

I was out hanging out with some neighbors for this New Year's moment. I went out for a brief moment and out in the sky I didn't just see fireworks. I saw something more. I saw a white light with a red glow going up towards the sky. I thought it was an airplane at first. But then I realized it wouldn't have a red glow and I didn't see lights flashing. So it kept going up at a constant speed. Maybe a little bit faster or similar to an airplane's. But then it kept going up until I could barely see it. Some trees were then blocking my vision as it kept going up, but I thought I saw it keep flashing some lights before I could barely see it. On and on until it disappeared from my vision.

Well I don't know what it is. I heard that UFOs come out during New Years. Although I can't believe it, but what else can it be? I thought it was a misguided firework or something, I can't make up a logical explanation. A firework would've burned out instead of it keep going...

Idk. I only saw one. It means something to me, though.
Just like Ash seeing a shiny Ho-Oh in the sky when he went out on his journey. I believe it was Episode 1 or 2. That's the best resemblance I could ever make

Also I don't like believing in aliens because it makes me feel unsecured of myself. And it's kind of silly for a ton of reasons.
