To display more unity in the way moderators infract people, we have come up with a list of the infractions and the reasons we hand them out. Please note that not each offending post will receive an infraction, sometimes a warning will suffice or in some cases, only the deletion of the posts.

Inappropriate Language (1 point infraction, expires in 10 days)
Regular Post Spam (1 point infraction, expires in 10 days)

Conditions for level of infraction: Depending on severity, may or may not be infracted.

Other Actions taken: Edit your post to remove the offending words and delete off-topic/spammy posts.

Board Rules Violation (2 points infraction, expires in 10 days)
Being an Asshat (4 points infraction, expires in 10 days)
Spammed Advertisements (15 points infraction, expires in 10 days [autobanned])

Conditions for level of infraction: Depending on how often I deal with the same person and/or on severity, may or may not be infracted.

Other Actions taken: Posts will longer be moved by me. Instead, I will delete the offending post(s)/thread(s). I also ask that you stay on topic, topic derailment may also result post deletion.

As a general rule for necroing:
-If you find an old thread that you wish to add to with something relevant instead of creating a new identical topic, I may overlook the necroing. (This will be rare and will depend on the topic of the thread)
-Threads older than a weeks will be considered light necroing: I may simply lock topic if it wasn't important.
-Threads older than a month: 2 pts infraction and topic locked / deleted.
-Threads older than 2 months: 4 pts infraction and topic locked / deleted.

General Beligerance (3 points infraction, expires in 10 days)
Severe Insulting Other Members (5 points infraction, expires in 10 days)
Griefing (7 points infraction, expires in 20 days)

Conditions for level of infraction: Depends on severity of the insults given. Keep the insults to a minimum and keep them classy.

Other Actions taken: Offending posts will be deleted.

Quick Ban (10 points infraction, expires in 3 days)
Permaban (150 points infraction, Never expires)

Posting any form of Nudity, Illegal activities and their promotion (linking to sites which explain how to or distribute products of said activities) will result in being banned.

Auto Ban durations
If your infraction points go over 10 points, you be automatically banned.
10 pts = 1 day
12 pts = 3 days
14 pts = 6 days
16 pts = 10 days
20 pts = 2 weeks
etc
150 pts = Forever!

Additionally, until you have less than 10 infraction points, you will be a Restricted User with limited posting privileges (can reply but not create new threads in most areas and be denied access to others; you will still have 100% access to circlejerk)

Concerning Smurfs:
If I find a smurf in violation of any of the rules above, outside CJ, I will ban your smurf and possibly give your main an infraction.

Using smurfs to avoid a forums ban: I will ban your smurf and give you an extra 10 point infraction. (a 24h ban will become a 2 week ban)

Concerning Mafia Player Reports and it's Subforums
We kindly ask that you refrain from posting there unless you are appealing a report about you. Although some of you have some valid posts there, it is reserved primarily for Keepers, Moderators and the person that has been reported. You have posting rights there because people need that right in order to appeal a decision. If you feel that something extra needs to be said that a keeper or moderator hasn't said. Plz Pm the Keeper / Moderator that processed the report, your words will carry more weight if it is posted by an official Keeper / Moderator.

New rules

1: Threads about games you played must contain screenshots or replays of your game. Without this your thread will not be considered legitimate, and will be dealt with. Slight leeway will be given for you to edit it in later.

2: The description has been edited such that it is clear- no discussion of 'Mafia' things that do not pertain to the game of Mafia. Discussing the move 'The Godfather' or any other movie about a Mafia is not acceptable. Discussion of any setup of a game, SC2/real life/Forum style will be allowed if you are wanting to discuss balance and the like.

3: Games/puzzles/rap battles will allow be allowed as long as they remain themed and connected to Mafia.

4: If you suggest a role or role change that has already been suggested you will be responded to with a link to the suggestion thread and your new thread will be closed. If you wish to put a new spin or apply better balance to the role you may Private Message me and the thread may be opened up if the change is deemed large enough to be a new standing role.

5: Necroing on old threads is generally not liked, so if you find your suggestion has already been made you may also Private Message myself to discuss the creation of a new thread/necroing of old thread without any negative mod response.

6: 'Discussion' means discussion. If you get too far off topic or your post could be removed from a thread without it effecting the worth of the thread your post will be removed.
