There is always too much media coverage.
"Too much" can be extreme in situations.
For example, Breivik in Norway. We had to suffer news about him for 3 and half months straigth of having it on the frontpage of every newspaper and internet-news. There's stuff like earthquakes, rampage, goverment corruption - but nope, it's drowned in 12 pages of Breivik.
Just mentioning his name to a norwegian leads to a groan "not this again"... For that reason. Blame the mega-abuse by the media.
The point of the news is to learn of the world and hear what's new, not listen to a mass murderer being trialed in one of the most stupid court systems for quarter of a year when valuable information exists. With only 5 days, nearly every individual heard of it.
The Supreme Court gave protection to video games as a form of "art", meaning video games can no longer be punished anymore than violent paintings. Some Christian paintings are more violent than any video game ever produced.
So don't worry, the game developers will win![]()
Depends on what (usualy american) game is produced, as one of them contains so much gore it's not even realistic or funny with a first person perspective for immersion.
Besides, what about movies? Psychopaths are more inspired by movies then games.
It's a good thing to know video games in general are protected.
What the fuck is going on there?
I know this is a serious thread - but comeon, what's going on in that potrait?!

American has proven themselves to be a nation of totally unfit parents. I pity the children.
I may have been raised in the 90's when graphics limitations could not fully express violence and gore, but my parents just bought whatever games were cool at the time. I downloaded Grand Theft Auto 1 when it first came out (the demo version), and even bought the game with my own pocketmoney. I was a little boy and they sold it to me, a game where you gun people down and can run people over.
My parents never even implemented parental controls on my computer, they left it totally unrestricted.
Also keep in mind: children could develop sadistic and violent tendencies before the advent of the television: IT'S ALL IN HOW YOU'RE RAISED, nothing else.
