Yes every time i hear about Japan from someone else i find some differences from what i (want to) know. I already found one Half Japanese in mafia, but he has no skype so we cant talk with him.
I tried to learn Alphabet by that site, RLVG, so now i just remember how to write my name in Japanese.

oops is right on this, and I haven't even been yet. But agreeing to learn Japanese before even visiting the country is a very nice gesture, considering it's a foreigner-unfriendly nation. But there was a guy on Cracked recently (who himself LIVES in Japan), who decided to shed some light on some truly shitty aspects of the country, some being:

    1) Their hospitals close on evenings and weekends. I'd have to look more into it, but apparently there might not even be emergency clinics?
    2) Central air is not a concept in Japanese homes, so you have to use every other method possible.
    3) If arrested in Japan, the police can hold you for a LONG time to try and extract a forced confession (not with striking you, by making you go insane instead). If you don't speak the language, then it's double trouble as you might not even get an interpreter. This has further reinforced my belief that "Never sign anything you don't understand or agree to." They have to release you at some point.

Even despite this, I may go someday. But since it wouldn't be a resort stay, I'd just go see what I need to see, buy what I need to buy, and GTFO!

They also really hate otakus there. I mean, a lot of people think that Japan is a place where anime and manga is everywhere and that everyone watches it, but really it's far more socially acceptable here, because over in Japan they see anime and manga as children's shows and books. Picture the ridicule and shit that bronies take, and then raise it by a factor of 10, since over there, otakus are widely assumed to be pedophiles and perverts.
