30th of November : First Modern Country to abolish the Capital Punish

The 30th of November of the 1786 , the Grand Duke Pietro Leopold of Loren abolish the death as crime punishment in the Grand Dukate of Tuscany .
The abolish is celebrated by placing a bow ( the symbol of execution ) over the national flag until the Midnight of the 30th , when , symbolistically , the executions are stopped , at that point the bow are burned and the ashes are kept in a little pot with the Grand Dukate stemn and the motto "Gli uomini necessitano di punizioni utili , non di condanne non reversibili " ( the men are needing of useful to society punishment , not of non-revertible comndames ).
