There's also the risk that it turns into a popularity contest / friends favours (*COUGH* REP SYSTEM *COUGH*) if you include it in a scoring system like this and there's often a tendency to vote people in one's own faction as a showing of appreciation for their efforts.

This is a fair point. I thought that including it could be an incentive to be a better player. Personally, I thought that Player's Choice would be more fair/unbiased. However, I as long as no games have been played in the Season, we can fairly change the points however.

We can still discuss this before any games in the Season finish.

I don't mind removing it completely, changing it to Host's Choice MVP, or just providing a small paragraph explaining why you voted for the person.
