Here's some news to these people, if any of you idiots are browsing here atm - I've not played in a fair while, and in the process at some point the stats got RESET.

I've been through many resets of varying nature, it's very depressing to have my magical Internet points reset. Though it legitimately is an issue to some degree seeing as how they affect in-game benefits. I'd have maybe 4-5k more points otherwise.

But either way, yeah, no reason to worry about it unless someone is on here trying to get your points stripped.

yea and just 100+ games. that's nothing, you can't even get that many points with roulette unless u have incredible luck.

The games won were reset with the last update. It did not affect your games played.

So if you have a range between 100+ and played 30 games since patch (with new achievement bonus). It would only be mathematically possible for you to have 3-4.5k maximum.

It used to not track games played or won, and used to be points only, and those have been reset too. If the man played a lot before games played started being tracked, he could easily have a lot of points. I played back then and had a couple thousand points despite only having a few games apparently played, but no one cared to call people out for it as all high pointers had a low amount of games played.

Also keep in mind that if he came back after the wins were reset (and I also had my role achievements reset), then he would've gotten an easy 2-3 thousand points from the achievements. I know I did. I had a lull in playing Mafia that coincided with that reset, then I played for a few days and I was already up a couple thousand due to all the achievements, and was pleasantly surprised to be earning points for them when I did not before.

Based on my own personal experience, his story is plausible, because people could've said the same thing about me

Correct. However, between the first point resets, and the addition of the tracking system, ten thousand points is a lot to rack up so quickly to then just go inactive until recently, so it is slightly improbable, but it's basically a mathematical surety that there are some players like you.

Eh Ambient, that wouldn't really be reliable. I didn't hang around in the Mafia channel and I played a lot, and I resurfaced again recently for about the 3rd time and people still didn't know who I was, and occasionally I'll check the help menu and see very high point players I don't know (that have credible stats too). It's pretty difficult to make such definitive statements retroactively. Improbability is not falsehood.
