We could have debate Fridays, and what not in a debates forum.

Posts would go to post count, but post farming rules should be strictly enforced.

Why create a new forum just for debates. If you want to have a serious debate about something, put it in Serious Discussion. Or, if the philosophy forum gets reinstated and it's a philosophical debate, post it there.

I'd like to echo the suggestion to go to srs discussion with this. A dedicated debate forum seems redundant unless we're going to be having something extra (e.g. voting on a winner, more strict rules, etc)

It's human nature to want to beat other people in something.

Even stupid things, like post count, long, but bad essays, dick size.

It really just does not matter.

Here is not there specifically because it is here and not there - the essence of what here is would be compromised if it were there.
If you were speaking from the position of someone else in reference to your own point of view, I suppose there could be here, but you'd have to specify that in order to communicate your idea effectively.
