    New Role: Forger

    Role name: Forger or Counterfeiter

    Description: A professional who specializes in replacing original documents with self-produced counterfeited ones.

    Alignment: Mafia

    Abilities: Counterfeit a target's last will. During the night, select a target and write your own last will ("-forge [Last will]") for the targetted player to be shown the next day if he dies. The fake last will only lasts one full day; it expires at the start of the next night.

    Win Condition: Mafia wins

    Host Options:
    -Can counterfeit twice (Default)
    -Can counterfeit three times.
    -Can counterfeit four times.
    -Becomes Mafioso if no killing role
    -Undetectable to investigative roles.

    Pros: Can be effective late game, when the target's role is known, especially investigative roles, to fool and confuse remaining town members.

    Cons:
    -Limited uses so he has to pick targets carefully and be sure it will help his team.
    -Might alarm the town of a forger if an unappropriate role's last will sounds fishy.
    -Weak role early game.

    Additional comments: Wether the target can successfully update his last will and erase the forged copy during the following day before he gets lynched to be decided by DR if this gets implemented...

    I forgot to mention that this will also make Coroner a more useful role due to the fact that he can uncover the real target's last will and will then know that Mafia has a Forger in their team.

    Hah, you are right. I was not aware that a similar role was already suggested, sorry. Being undetectable was simply meant as an extra host option; I would assume most people would not make him undetectable anyways.

    Forger also seems a more appropriate name than Accountant

    Interesting idea.

    A few things:
    - I'm not sure thou if it's ability would warrant it's own role? Just changing last wills would that be enough?
    - Might be a bit too complex? You definitely need to have played a few games to know what to type.
    - It relies completely on intelligence, not necessarily a bad thing. What I mean is a framer just clicks someone and in turn that guy can get lynched. Here you have to actually write an elaborate last will and know what you're doing. I can imagine idiots wasting this role every game and making the other Mafia mad.

    Changing last wills actually seems very useful on the Mafia. A GF/Mafioso hits an investigator and you put false info in it. I think it's better than what a Janitor does, because it's not immediately clear that anyone changed the LW at all. If you don't know someone's role, you can just clear their LW to make sure they don't leave any info.

    Yes, you might need to have a clue about what to type if you want to put false info there, but that's just a reward for intelligent play. A disguiser or something is probably at least as hard to play as for a new player.

    Well the difference is even if played badly the Disguiser you only need to click on someone, you get a free kill for the mafia! With this if played badly you get nothing? That's my main point

    The forging also heavily relies on you knowing what role the person is. Can't see away around that?

    As you said you can atleast clear the last will, but Janitor already does that?

    No different from Janitor in that regard. You click someone who doesn't get killed and nothing happens.

    It does, yes. But that doesn't mean it isn't useful if you don't know specifics. It's also an undetectable role (optionally), so that's an edge over the Janitor.

    Most abilities rely on that in some way. Some more than others. A possible way around it would be to allow it to change the lw of two people in a single night. Or maybe make a Mafia player's role appear as something else when they die. (that way you can call out for lynches on people who claim escort, investigator or vigilante when the consort/consigliere/mafioso have died and no more of the town roles are possible on the roster)

    Hmm what if the merchant had a random target that he had to make survive/win the game via the information provided?
    Something like the opposite of an exec
