    Town Power becoming Random Town

    I had a game with the setup with 1 Town Random only.
    According to MafiaWiki, Spy can only be included in Town Random or a confirmed role. There was only 1 town Random wich was me - Spy. But it appeared a second spy in game. How is that possible???

    Town Power - Mayor
    Town Power - Spy ?
    Town Power - Escort ?

    Town Random - Spy

    Town Protective - Bodyguard

    Serial Killer
    -----------------------------------------------------
    There is a lot more strange than an extra spy. There's also an escort/bodyguard that shouldn't be there. I'll bring this one up hopefully it's just a case of the wiki needing updating.

    I think it is, I will check the patch notes as it might have been changed.
    escort seems more of a town power then protective but spy would fit better in with investigative imho

    I used to have a save that had a built in Mayor, a Town Power (exclude killing). That made it have to be a Mason Leader. Then there was an Any Random. If that was Citizen then the Power was ML, but if it was anything else then the Town Power would be broken and revert to Citizen. People don't like built in Citizens, i will hide them. Not sure if the recent tweaks to Mason Leader still allow this.

    a setup with that many Town Power? wow...

    i can see a problem with that... as Town Power can only become Mayor or Mason Leader (if "Town Power: Exclude killing roles" is ON)
    and there can only be one of each... even more so if "Mason Leader: Exclude from randoms" is ON... then Town Power can only become Mayor... but the (Wiki link:) Unique Role so there can only be one Mayor...
    i don't know how the game handles a Random when there's no possible roles... i guess they become Town Random?

    Short Version:
    "Town Power: Exclude killing roles" is ON
    +
    "Mason Leader: Exclude from randoms" is ON
    +
    Mayor
    +
    Town Power
    =
    Town Power -> Town Random

    or what?
    make sense to me... but i don't know how it works

    Any Random- Exclude Neutral is not a thing. Any Random can only exclude Town, Mafia, and Killing.

    You are correct sir. My bad. I guess I had just seen so many forms of Any Random turned into a Neutral Random (via exclude Town and Mafia), that I figured those were the only options. As well as your point that that makes the Random in itself very easy to make impossible. I suggest that Any Random (exclude all roles) be forced to be Spy/Coroner. For maximum luls.

    i'll see if i can test it out in the morning... i mean you can't start a game with a powerless Mason Leader... so maybe there is a build-in warning message for impossible Any Random too... making a warning for impossible Town Power on the other hand could be a little harder

    I think it gives you a message saying "Random Any options are not valid"

    It's similar to when you give vigilante 2 shots and 3 shots at the same time. Still no confirmation here.

    yeah... as far as i know you can still save your setup (in the Save-Slot mode) even if there's an error in it like that...

    so getting to test this would mean getting into a game with people and trying to start it... and i am sure everyone would yell "REPICK THAT NOOB" if i attempted to test it in pubs

    Town Power was limited to Mayor + ML
    ML was either excluded from setup, or couldn't spawn due to Citizen and Cultist not being in the game.
    Town Power: Mayor
    Town Power: Turned into Random Town
