So :
1. My last name is my family name, the basis of my genetics so to speak. My first name is my identity and it is how people identify me as well.
Damus, Brandan, and Corey are all names I have gone by and they are each how I have identified myself. I never lied because I never once said (to my knowledge) that Damus was the name I was born with. I just said it was my real name. If it is a name I go by, how is it not my real name?

2. I never lied about her. She is my girlfriend, I was a bit hasty in saying fiance, and she knows much more about me and my situation than any of you. Bruno was either lying to mistaken when he said that she was with some guy named 'Brandon.' I revealed Brandan to you all because it seemed relevant.

So, I didn't lie.

you lied because she's not your fiancee and because damus isn't you're real first name. is it your legal name? no? then its just a nickname.

Nicknames are considered a legal first name if used for more than 3 years, or used on a binding legal contract. If he ever did anything that signed Damus, then he is correct and you are not. Either way, if he wants his first name to be "Damus" what right do you have to crush his dreams. Legal name change isn't even that expensive, just annoying.

Not proposing means technically that was a lie, but it could be a very very white lie. Jumping the gun on a name happens. Or even trying to compare yourself to the people your talking to (i.e you and bunny soon-to-be-married) then sometimes the words they use just come out without thinking. The word Fiance could have been one of these mishaps. Name is explained in the response above this 1.
