can't get past loading screen.

I have tried to join many a game of mafia after the 1.5 patch. but to no avail.

the situation:

its a 15 full-house game.
the game starts
the loading screen comes up and the bar goes to 2/3'rd
streaming data to the right says something like 25/29
it stays at this for 5 minutes. you can tab out and everything seems to work. then after 10 minutes it still does not load and after you try to tab out and back in the screen is black.

ctrlaltdelte gives: doesn't respond to scII and I have to force it off.

I can however join other costum games like desert strike.

its only since patch 1.5. I tried restarting my PC and all the other jizz.

I have tried it in 1 player host only mode...

no it just freezes and I get the standard windows starcraft2.exe doesn't work anymore after forcing it to close. I do not get a crash report like the once you can send to blizz.

Well, I've done all I can do. It's very odd that it's only mafia.

after further trial and (no) error (message) other big data costom maps don't work either. like left2die.

thought the smaller ones like desert strike (3mb) do.

I know this may sounds weird, but when is the last time your computer ran updates?
I'm only say this because I had a weird problem: Everytime I alt+tabbed outta sc2, it would crash. When I did a system update, it ceased.

You could have a bug in your sc2 files.

Or the patch hadn't finished completely.

I have just reinstalled scII and the patch is 100%.

I have a thought.

Your Mafia files could be corrupted.

in which case i might have to say that you need to delete them :/ as i dont recall another way to counter file corruption

Have you tried running the SC2 Repair .exe located in your sc2 folder?

yes and I have located the source of the problem.

its my internet security system astaro. other PC's in the house have the same problem.

its funny how with Bnet allowed firewall of and anti-virus off Blizzard is the only thing I ever had such problems with...

I am currently having the same issue again. both on my lan and the independent wi-fi.

2/3 of my games don't load. but when they do the game freezes n2/3/4 and the audio goes in an infinite 0.5 sec loop.
