DR, you should be flattered it's players like him who play your creation so much over the video game initially bought in order to. I was such a player for several months before. It is an active compliment to the value of SC2 Mafia.
We all play video games; it's a substitution for other habits. Activity should be appreciated, not punished.
He's a great player too. And a very cool guy.
If he's on a "points ban", he shouldn't be.
Once he passed 10K and the new achievements with all the high bonus points, he started playing a lot more, seeking -prefer.
Being motivated means you're a points hacker?
Also, with the achievements and how people farm them, this data...
"May: 8.2k | 154 W | 316 total
June: 10.6k | 240 W | 439 total
July: 13.5k | 347 W | 601 total
July: 18k | 512 W | 867 total
July: 21 k | 647 W | 1090 total"
... is entirely legitimate. I'm very active too when I play and I'm pretty sure I have more of a life--and a quite enjoyable one--than most.
As usual, an assumption is made, and someone's hobby and dedication is ruined for it.
This is why there are so many gamethrowers, grievers, cheaters, hackers, and "trolls".
Mods should both learn from their mistakes and be humble enough to admit it and fix them.
This is yet another travesty maliciously inflicted upon someone's life. If someone were to meet you and beat you up and take your computer, how would you feel? How about: meet you, beat you up, and take your car? Or motorcycle? Or girlfriend? Or favorite shirt? It's not the seeming frivolousness of the object being stolen from someone else by others hiding behind their computer, it's the fact that something is being stolen from someone else without warrant.
If the things mods do on here were face-to-face, I believe none of the the things mods do would fly.
I really feel for ashfall; the same thing was done to me and I've felt truly insulted and frustrated about it ever since. Fortunately, I have better things to do. For all you know, playing SC2 Mafia brings ashfall great joy and escape from problems in his life. To play judge is a horrible thing, especially without the humility to imagine yourself in someone else's shoes.
What was done to him deserves to be fixed today.
(And for the record, no one just "plays for points". This game is played by anyone, because they enjoy playing it. Points are a bonus and a means to gain -blacklist and -prefer, which greatly affect the enjoyability of this game.)
