    Lightbulb Different night ambience depending on alignment/role

    As of now, the night time looks and feels the same for all players. What if the night time was different depending on your role? It could illustrate better how each role experiences the night.

    Here are a few examples:

    • Most of the town can keep the original camera-pan during the night
    • The Mafia can have their camera focus on a cafe or some other sort of mafia hideout
    • The Jailor can have their camera on a jail
    • If somebody is jailed that night, they see themselves behind bars
    • The mason can locate at some sort of chapel
    • The cult can locate at some demonic shrine
    • The mayor locates at some town hall after he reveals himself
    • The witch can be at some witch lair
    • The SK can be at some disturbing hideout
    • The Jester can see a carnival during the night
    • Escort works near a strip-club
    • BD is at a bus station


    There could also be a different rendition of the night theme depending on your alignment.

    You can do many creative things, like I said with someone who is jailed, or maybe disguiser after he sucessfully disguises.

    Does anyone have any ideas? Any ways this can be improved upon? Feedback?

    DR said he likes this idea. He has some room to play with on the map and to model stuff, so this might happen. probably.

    +1 for this awesome idea.

    Definite support from me... it'll add a little spice to the otherwise kind of lame night sequence (let's face it... how many night times have you seen in sc2maf in your life? Over a thousand for me, easy)

    For certain situations, the players in-game model could be incorporated. Someone who is jailed could see themselves behind bars. The mafia players could sit around a table, and so fourth. Just as long as it doesn't take up too much script/data. Hilarity would ensue with Megafunk.

    I always thought the player models should do more in game then just stand in a circle.

    It's being gradually implemented. Right now as detective you get a special camera animation. It's not much, and it loops like 4 times, but it's coolio
