    Poliocy Lynches

Despite my blunders, I enjoyed the Forum Mafia very much, and have now started playing on mafiascum.net. However, something which really bothers me is the fact that Policy Lynches are never applied in Sc2 mafia, even though they have the potential to be very successful. When I suggested a no lynch on my very first game of mafiascum, every one thought I was either crazy or trolling (I nearly got lynched because of it ). While I didn't get why it was such a bad idea at the time, the truth of the matter is that Town is strongest at day, so they should never fail to abuse there best weapon, even if they don't have a solid lead.

It just seems crazy that in Sc2 mafia, suggesting a PL is considered trolling, and in mafiascum, suggesting NL is considered trolling. In my opinion, I think that town should ALWAYS lynch every day, even if there is a chance of lynching a townie.

I would like to here feedback on all your opinions, because after looking at a statistic page, people who are not afraid to policy lynch are more likely to get scum and win the game then people who are to scared, but still, if you suggest a policy lynch, your automatically dammed as a Jester or Executioner who's opinion doesn't matter.

1 last matter is the fact the just because Vigilante shoots night 1 doesn't make him a troll. Same thing, he could miss, but he could be a hero and get Scum.

SC2 Mafia moves WAY too fast for policy lynches and stuff like that to be used. Policy lynches exist in forum Mafia because day/night cycles span over several days or even weeks so lynching lurkers (unreadable as Town or Mafia) as policy for example is beneficial and enforceable.

SC2 Mafia is just follow the Sheriff/Invest leader and try to find some Mafia in a role lie.

Also day 1 lynches happen in Mafia Scum because they reveal information. You can see posting behavior of people, you can see posting behavior when someone really gets pressured, you can see who refused to vote for who and who refused to contribute, etc.

Day 1 lynches in SC2 Mafia are just pure dumb luck.

Forum Mafia and SC2 Mafia are completely different games under the same name and require completely different skillsets (SC2 Mafia is much more luck/ability based while forum Mafia is much more analytical/behavioral).

While random lynching is bad, people in SC2 mafia should still not be afraid to put people on trial to get clues. It doesn't have to be just "follow the sheriff".

I've tried occasionally to point at suspicious people and put them on trial but town is too scared to follow suit without information.

The problem is, most hosts set times to a bare minimum with no discussion even... So obviously there's no time for people to talk, no time to get enough votes on people without saying "I'M SHERIFF, LOL, FOLLOW ME, LOL, LYNCH THIS GUY, LOL". Exagurating, but you get my point.

I'm probably the only one who gives enough day time to actually talk and guess...

    How much is that?
I set my day + discussion total time to 2.5 minutes or so, and my night is 1 minute.

Zack I hope you don't take that personally, but I haven't seen one good game out of your setup. I'd be open to try it in a full inhouse to see if it has potential, but I doubt it. (There might even already been one)

    Re: Poliocy Lynches

Reason that theres a difference is that in sc2 mafia theres a 14 player limit.

This means theres usually only like 6-8 town

In online mafia theres like 3243988572987364876 town. So yeah, its better to random lynch in those games.

Putting people on trial at leas should ALWAYS happen. But as a put at the top, unless you claim investigative role, your attempts to put anyone on trial falls on empty ears.

SC 2 mafia makes you rely on evidence. Because each townie is important.

    Re: Poliocy Lynches

On epic mafia no lynch until it's lynch or lose for town is a VERY common trend unless a sheriff gets a definite scum.
