Sk not killing rbers?

There has been something in a recent game that has been confusing to me. I was a jailor, and during the game I jailed the sk, but there was no jailbreak, as I did not die from the sk. In the settings, the sk killing rbers was toggled on. So here brings my question, is there anyway for the sk to prevent killing rbers in this setup?

P.S. There was also an escort in the game, rbed the sk, no death

I'm pretty sure there was a escort/jailor discussion a long time ago on SK but I can't find it.
Or it might have been 'What if 2 jailors target an sk' i think that was it.
