    Role Ideas: Car Bomber / Wizard / Pacifier / Changeling

    Car Bomber
    Alignment: Mafia

    Pick a target. Kills yourself, your target, and anyone who visits them that night.

    Invest message: Your target owns gasoline.

    Wizard
    Alignment: Neutral

    Pick a target. During the day, they can't see any text from anyone else.

    Invest message: Your target is a loner.

    You win as long as mafia loses.

    Pacifier
    Alignment: Town

    Pick a target. Converts them to a citizen. If a mafia or cult member, they can't speak for the rest of the game and their vote automatically goes with the Pacifier's vote.

    Limited to 1/2 charges.

    Night immunity prevents pacification (on/off)

    (this means that if he targets a sheriff, they lose sheriff powers and become a cit.)

    Invest message: Your target is cit/sin.


    Changeling:
    Alignment: Neutral

    Becomes a random role each day and remains that role for the night.

    Invest message: depends on what they are that night.

    Your win condition is that of whatever role you happen to be at game finish.

    Discussion: I think the wizard would be really neat. Kinda like the opposite of the town. His ability is pretty useful in that mafia can't defend themselves. "invest here, blue works with dead bodies" (??? in graveyard). <town votes up blue> "im bodyguard" <lynch>. They also cant respond to what townies are saying and attempt to throw them off.

    Changeling just sounds like awesome, chaotic fun. When they change into a mafia or cult member, at night the other members would appear as "mafia" or "cultist" and the changeling would appear as "changeling (consigliere, etc)".

    Car bomber gives another gas invest msg and is also a counter to someone being doc'd.

    Pacifier is cool and I don't think it is too strong in that you can mess up townies just like a vigi. Not being able to talk solves the issue of former maf/cult members giving up their teammates.

    In that case, shouldn't wizard be town? Pro-town neutral? Maybe...

    Pacifier
    Basically "kills" an evil and "steals" their vote. Maybe...

    Changeling
    How do you solve the issue of mafia/cult betrayal?

    Wizard can still win with other neuts as long as mafia loses. Just like witch except witch needs town to lose.

    Well , the car bomber is a good idea , but... it will be like the citi or doc : the newbies will leave becuse he must suicide for kill.
    The pacifer : i' ve had a vision.. a terrible vision , a vision where the pacifer begins in-game , and the super-trolling/gamethrowing stars , then the days pass ,on NA servers they are all banned , on EU the mafia game it's a wasteland of trolls , the only way to exit is: choose a side and pacific the enemy siade (or don't makes the towns roles all citi ).
    The wizard isn' t bad , but it's too much difficult to play , and , yeah , a archi-iper-super archi must be done if win alone , with a reward like 2000+ points

    The car bomber is based on chance, it is a bad idea, DR has already stated he doesn't like the fact jester suicide is random.
    The wizard is my favorite, opposite of a blackmailer , perhaps it should be that only the message contents cannot be seen, but people who talk can be seen?

    Car Bomber is quite good. However, there was a previous role very similar to it(called sapper) which was better implemented because the explosion kills the sapper, the victim, and anyone who also targeted the victim. Sapper had a lot of skill to it and no chance. See FMIX for Sapper in action.

    Changeling would never work because of changing alignments. If changelings alignment was always town then maybe, but still unsure. Might make things too complicated.

    Wizard and pacifier both look cool, but the allignment choices are very wierd. Wizard is identical to an epicmafia role called the Fiddler, only the Fiddler is mafia alligned. The Wizards ability is good at causing mild disruption, making it a good mafia role, but doesn't work at all for a good-neutral.

    Finaly, I actualy quite like pacifier. However, I would recomend that you give it the "Survives and make sure the mafia loses" victory condition. While the point of the pacifier is to take control of the bad guys and to make them vote for good, the other half of the pacifiers ability is turning townies into citizens. If the pacifier was pure town then he would be bullyed into never using his ability in case of hitting townies.

    To some it up, Car Bomber and Wizard already has a very similar role which works better(Sapper and Fiddler respectively). Changeling just wouldn't work that well. Pacifier is the only one which I think could work. If he is was good-neutral, his primary objective would be to survive, followed by taking out the mafia, which would much better suit the role(wouldn't just reveal all of his pupets for lynching, and would have insentive to use his ability, even if it did risk hurting town).

    I believe there is no issue after that.
