I was given instructions to tell you all the information you need to know for your survival.

You are all members of an organization called the Town. Your goal is to stop the terrorism that threatens the world. You have all been given 10 billion yen to share for your efforts. You will be able to purchase a numerous number of perks such as role lists, graveyard information, investigation results, the use of last wills, kill types, and role perks as well that augment and empower certain roles.

However be warned, the terrorists have a budget of their own and will be using it to wreak havoc on the world, they must be stopped.

The terrorists are disorganised however, and all of you are safe for tonight. You will be able to perform your given duties during the night but expect some discrepancies in your night actions, no vigilantes can kill during night one, as well as some other hidden rules which you can buy if you want.

Things you are allowed to buy day 1:

Simple Role List:
Shows how many town vs. non-town. 2B yen

Closed Role List(Common):
Shows how many power roles vs. how many mafia power roles. 5B yen

Open Role List:
Shows every single role in the game. 9B yen

Graveyard Information:
Shows who died and what role the person was in the graveyard. 3B yen

Investigation Results:
Shows the pairings that an investigator or consigliere would get when they check someone (be warned neither might be in the game). 5B yen

Death Types:
Shows how a person died(by mafia/by vigilante/etc.) 2B yen

Mayor Buff:
Give the mayor an extra vote when claimed (There may not be a mayor)(This also works for doublevoter) 1.5B yen

Doctor Buff:
Can protect person from all deaths, not just one attack (There may not be a doctor) 2.5B yen

Sheriff Buff:
Tell the sheriff which type he is. (There may not be a sheriff or misinformed sheriff) 2B yen

Vigilante Buff:
The Vigilante can give away one of his two guns. (There may not be a vigilante) 3.5B yen

Investigator Buff:
Detects exact role. (There may not be an investigator) 5.5B yen

Coroner Buff:
Results are directly transmitted to the town via the Opening post. (There may not be a coroner) 4B yen

Detective Buff:
Can see who the person that they follow visits and who the person that was visited by the person they followed visits as well (There may not be a detective) 2B yen

Lookout Buff:
Can see everyone who visits someone and what actions were performed on that person (There may not be a lookout) 3.5B yen

Enchantress Buff:
Can also repel people as well (There may not be an enchantress) 2B yen

Escort Buff:
Has a one-time use ability where she can choose who to block during the day and chat with that person during the night. (There may not be an escort) 3B yen

Whore Buff:
Give em another charge of whorin' (There may not be a whore) 2B yen

Vengeful Buff:
Person they take with them doesn't have to be someone who voted them (There may not be a vengeful) 3B yen

Bodyguard Buff:
Instead of dying and taking someone with them, they can intercept a shot and redirect it to someone of their choice (Will affect death type) (There may not be a bodyguard) 2.5B yen

Multi-Lynch Day:
Buy a day of multiple lynches where you can lynch two people instead of one! 7.5B yen!

Last Wills:
You can use em 3.5B yen

EDIT: OH RIGHT! also, you will be given more money each day. The amount of money given to the town at the beginning of the day is dependant on how much was spent the previous day, the less money you spend, the more money you will be given the next day for spending

The setup states that the mafia needs two nights to perform their first kill. It also states that the game would start at night 0. Thus it appears that tonight would be the second night and they would be able to perform a kill tonight.

This. There is absolutely no reason to buy anything today, as we shall obtain more money by saving it and, if we wish, we can make more than one purchase tomorrow.
I propose we -skip day 1, buy nothing, and then tomorrow buy atleast the graveyard, so we'll know who actually died night 2 and isn't just lurking.

My thoughts on potential purchases:


Types of role lists:
Simple Role List:
Shows how many town vs. non-town. 2B yen
In this mafia v. town game with no neutrals, we can pretty much assume 4 v 9. This option gives town information mafia already has, but most likely only confirms what we already can guess at.

Closed Role List(Common):
Shows how many power roles vs. how many mafia power roles. 5B yen
Gives mafia information as well as town information. Seems like a good option to me, as a happy medium because it doesn't give away too much information.

Open Role List:
Shows every single role in the game. 9B yen
Bad, because mafia has the most to gain from this list. If there are no protective roles, for example, then mafia will know that and adjust their night actions accordingly. Don't vote this option to keep up a veil of WIFOM.

Graveyard Information:
Shows who died and what role the person was in the graveyard. 3B yen
This is extremely important for us to buy when the night kills start.

Investigation Results:
Shows the pairings that an investigator or consigliere would get when they check someone (be warned neither might be in the game). 5B yen
I think we should wait to buy this if an investigator claims (so we can "prove" their power as an invest/consig). Use this to catch someone in a lie.

Death Types:
Shows how a person died(by mafia/by vigilante/etc.) 2B yen
If someone dies, it's most likely mafia unless they seemed extremely scummy during the day. If there is an extra kill, we'll know one of them was from a vigilante (or the mafia bomb...) Would still be useful, but a lower priority buy, imo.

Mayor Buff:
Give the mayor an extra vote when claimed (There may not be a mayor)(This also works for doublevoter) 1.5B yen
We should keep enough money to buy this power in the bank at all times in order to ensure that we can buy it in the case that we need an extra vote to make a lynch. It's an important safety net purchase.

Doctor Buff:
Can protect person from all deaths, not just one attack (There may not be a doctor) 2.5B yen
The only reason I can see for this is if someone gets exploded by a mafia bomb and night killed while being doctor protected. And/or vigi shot. I feel like the probability is rather low for this to be useful.

Sheriff Buff:
Tell the sheriff which type he is. (There may not be a sheriff or misinformed sheriff) 2B yen
If a sheriff reveals with a list of results we could buy this to figure out who to lynch. Save 2B yen to buy this. Note to sheriffs: please don't reveal unless you have already figured out your alignment from the graveyard OR we have 2B yen left to buy this.

Vigilante Buff:
The Vigilante can give away one of his two guns. (There may not be a vigilante) 3.5B yen
If there is a vigilante, we should buy this so he can give a gun to a confirmed town. Can re-evaluate usefulness later.

Investigator Buff:
Detects exact role. (There may not be an investigator) 5.5B yen
Does this also apply to consigs? I would rather not buy this if it gives mafia a buff, too.

Coroner Buff:
Results are directly transmitted to the town via the Opening post. (There may not be a coroner) 4B yen
Not sure if the cost is worth the risk of buying this without having a coroner.

Detective Buff:
Can see who the person that they follow visits and who the person that was visited by the person they followed visits as well (There may not be a detective) 2B yen
This seems like a good purchase because of the information that it gives us.

Lookout Buff:
Can see everyone who visits someone and what actions were performed on that person (There may not be a lookout) 3.5B yen
This sounds really powerful.

Enchantress Buff:
Can also repel people as well (There may not be an enchantress) 2B yen
Might be a good purchase in the end game.

Escort Buff:
Has a one-time use ability where she can choose who to block during the day and chat with that person during the night. (There may not be an escort) 3B yen
Seems like a bad purchase imo because of benefits and the associated cost.

Whore Buff:
Give em another charge of whorin' (There may not be a whore) 2B yen
Would be helpful if there is a whore who has used up charges (won't be necessary until later).

Vengeful Buff:
Person they take with them doesn't have to be someone who voted them (There may not be a vengeful) 3B yen
I assume mafia would help hammer the vengeful, so I'm not sure how this helps at all.

I don't really understand this one. Does the bodyguard die if they are buffed? Does the attacker still die if the bodyguard is buffed?

IMO, this is a very good list of stuff. Depending on how Deathfire answers Glip's question we could save out money until Day three and be able to buy a lot of this stuff at once.
