    Team Speak 3 67.212.81.143:9989

    Hello everyone,

Some friends insisted that I try the mafia mod in SC2. Not seeing the relation between SC2 and mafia(not the card game that it’s based on but the FPS0, I was at lost to see why anyone would want to. I must admit that I am not keen on mods to begin with. All the same, I joined them.

Since that first try a couple of weeks ago, when I play SC2, it’s with the mafia mod. I must say that I was pleased with the ingenuity of Dark Revenant and making this mod such a success. I really must congratulate him for his success.

As time passed, and that I found myself so taken with this mod I became a benefactor to support this endeavor. Today I am posting on this website to further enhance the mafia experience on SC2 if possible.

I have created a team speak 3 server that will serve as a backup for my clan but primarily for mafia chat room should it interest anyone. The address is 67.212.81.143:9989. The TS3 is currently a 32 slots but I am willing to increase the capacity if necessary.

So in fact, this is what I offer, ppl that have supported and encouraged Dark Revenant will be able to get a status on the ts and reserved slot. The guest have little to no power, making it hard for trolls to kick and be a nuisances, while allowing donors, patrons and benefactors the option to kick. I would also encouraged game admins to monitor and record conversations of the TS as a tool to keep mafia as entertaining as possible without cheaters that could take advantage of this option.

I propose a test period and should Dark Revenant approve of this system, a second look could then address the issues that having a TS might of created.

For any information and concerns about the TS, email me at menautor@knights-chevaliers.com

Again the Team Speak 3 server is 67.212.81.143:9989

In addition, some restrictions should be placed on the kick powers. I'm fairly sure I'm not the only one who can think of a few trolls among the donors and patrons...

    Clarification

I like the feedback I’m getting. Here is some more guideline then.
1- Only I or Dark Renevant may give status on the TS3. Therefore, if one of us isn’t there, you will have to make do with the guest status. We can only grant it when you are online too.
2- Privileges on my TS is not a given right. I may choose not to give those rights to some donors. Just as someone abusing it may lose the privileges. Note to all, I cannot grant you privileges if you are not logged at the time, but I can revoke them regardless if you are logged in or not.
3- I agree that troll donors that have already been identified may not receive additional TS privileges, until they have been on long enough to show that they have been reformed offenders. I also agree that guilty parties should be put on the ban TS3 list.
4- As some of you have noticed, yes, the chat box in the TS3 has been disable so that there is no confusion as to where you should type your information. This may change should it be so wished. But in all fairness it would need to be when all of the players in a game are all present on the TS3. Maybe we could have certain rooms with chat privileges?
5- Finally, as I said, I am counting on your feedback to adjust accordingly. The object is to have fun in a pleasant environment.

The cool thing about is it made it feel a lot more like friends. Like, it'll connect members with each other on a more personal level. We didn't even play Mafia the entire time, we did a bunch of Custom Games. but I wouldn't, given otherwise, have been in the Mafia Chat Channel on B.net and said "PRESS 1 FOR INVITE TO NEXUS WARS!?!??!1!!ELEVEN!" No what I mean?

Yeah it definitely feels more like a group of buddies having fun than the chat channel does.

We could create a mumble or ventrilo server, but having tried them all, I find that TS is the best suited that drains the less requirement from the PC and internet. There are no fees for using Ventrilo or Mumble. I am actually paying for the TS3 server. I am doing so because I know full well that it is the best in game voice option but I remain open to suggestion from those who use it.

I'd like to post here that I am officially moderating this teamspeak channel. Contact either Menautor or myself if you desire to become something more than a guest, and one of us will get you set up.

Never forget that when you play with us ;) or I'll shoot you n1
Whenever I play with Menataur, I am always trying to be like, hey is this person you xD Or if I am Godfather or sk, I will kill the person I think is him and see if I hear a reaction. xD It adds a new fun aspect haha

I reviewed a report today and there was mention of cheating on Team Speak. Not sure if they were referring to our TS or another. But for your info, if someone claims cheating via our TS, and that they have the time of day, our server is located in the -5 GWT time zone, some additional collaborating evidence may be found on the TS server logs.

Akira is officially in charge of the Mafia Team Speak 3, and he is helped by Raptorblaze and Creedkingsx. They will be coming out with a policy and procedure for the TS shortly. TS complaints on the forum are great but in order to help your TS report, you should also report the player on the TS itself, by right clicking on the players name and then filling in a complaint that will stay on the TS server.
Also, Mafia Mods should pass by to get their mafia server admin token and so should the different donors.
    Thx

With the Ts, we also are able to setup permissions, different rooms under the same server, admins, and things like that.
As far as quality, I can hear everything fine unless someone has their mic way too sensitive and everything echos, but that is the person's fault, not the server's.

    Team Speak news
2 more groups were created for the TS, the groups have literally no powers and serves purely to describe the language preferred by the player. English is obviously En with a red E icon, and French is Fr with a blue F icon.
There was also a French and English room added. Obviously joining those channels means that you will try and participate in that language. Otherwise, the regular Mafia room is open to all.
    Thanks
