Auwt is offline right now, and I'm trying to put Mesk in the hotseat. We spent most of D1 without a single serious train building. Frinckles was TPR hunting and may have Illuminati slipped. He would have made a better yeet than a no-yeet, but the fact that the biggest train had so little evidence was shit.
We're not doing that again today. If we just wait around to hear more from Auwt, we could be wasting half the day before we possibly come to realize we're just in setups A/D. I'd much rather have the question "how do we feel about Mesk v. Renegade?" settled BEFORE it's almost EoD.
If Auwt looks like plausible Illuminati, we're yeeting him. But if he doesn't, I want a viable backup plan. Mesk has looked scummy all game. Even MM didn't give her a "too bad to be scum" pass like he did for DM. If Auwt is town, Mesk's flip could resolve the game.
I want to townread Mattzed, I really do, because he has done a lot of actually pro-town work; we wouldn't have that much info if it hadn't been of him, and he could very well have participated in the shitpost time and delayed information gathering as much as possible. I'm just not sure it's right because of the SB thing. It's not unbelievable that he felt bad about lynching Stealth at first, but it's quite unlikely: he showed rather clear intent to change his read in his very mind (or at least in what he claimed to be his very mind) when decided not to push Stealth at first. Could be a half-conscious bias in Stealth's favor, though, so nothing is set in stone about him. Honestly, I think Mattzed might be a non-Illuminati Mafia trying to figure out if there are Illuminati or not, and that is why he was truly pro-town early on. Anyway, MattZed is a minefield when it comes to reading him, so I can't have a final read on him; hopefully this helps.
I'm pretty sure SB is town due to his slot's history and due to his behavior when he replaced in, saying what his slot did was understable (since he has the information of being town himself).
Auwt's reasonings are relatable, and I tend to believe he's town because of how natural his progression seemed.
Frinckles is scummy: where are his reasonings? His focus was entirely on Martin until I called him out on it, point at which he started scumreading me even though he claims to have a townlean on me if he disregards my meta of always being hard to read for him...
I saw Martin claimed to have an Illuminati check on Auwt. Well uh, either my read on him is shit or we simply don't have illuminati. Both are possible, and I'll have to check that out.
The Frinckles kill actually makes me think I may have been right about Mattzed with my conspiracy theory of him being mafia trying to get rid of potential illuminati XD. Of course there's no evidence of that, but I'm slowly gaining confidence in that theory.
I really don't see how in the world you're distinguishing between the "too scummy to be scum" camp and "actually scum." Why was Mesk missing the context between us yesterday scummy but, say, DM asking us questions *we had already answered* wasn't?

Marshmallow Marshall , to give a fuller answer to "but Matt, why the 180 on SB yesterday???": It's because I stopped thinking about how is *SB* playing and started thinking about how the *slot* is playing. I cannot remotely fathom how you thought DM was playing too poorly to be scum. I'm much more on team "Occam's Razor."

Even if you're not 100% sold on yeeting Mesk right now, AT LEAST VOTE. If we're in an Illuminati setup right now, it's 5v3. We literally need all of the non-Illuminati to vote.

There's something incredibly fake about the Renegade-Mesk interactions right now. They're suspicious of each other but aren't voting it.
Of the two, I'm *definitely* voting Mesk. She may have legit scumslipped by revealing that Renegade is "consig." We can find out when she dies if she's a consig or a purple sheriff who didn't read her rolecard. Mesk has been suspicious all game, and Renegade has generally been on the same page as me/MM. This isn't a hard vote for me, and it shouldn't be for the rest of y'all either.

Frinckles seemed before like he thought I was cit and wanted to make me a more attractive night kill. Idk why he’s abandoned that. Was he actually TPR hunting instead of making NK WIFOM?

I don’t know how else to say I legit felt guilty about the possibility of yeeting SB right after he replaced in. I was hoping someone else would end up being scummier, but that didnt happen

Mesk and Frinckles both full of OMGUS. Their suspects are literally just the people who have voted them. They both townread DM. (But so did Martin so *maybe* theres something Im missing)

On my phone. At this point, I can get behind a Mesk or Frinckles yeet if y’all REALLY think SB is non-Illuminati town.
For the pings on “why did you switch from giving SB a pass to voting for him?” Two reasons: 1. I was hoping we’d have enough pressure to trial one of Mesk/Frinckles/Auwt/yzb, but that didnt happen. 2. I realized the math ONLY supports a no-yeet if I think there’s an Illuminati but the top suspects aren’t in it.

Actually, I would 100% yeet SB if he revealed as mayor. A town mayor knows for a fact we're in setup D. DM spent waaaaaay too much time actively speculating that there's an Illuminati to be a town mayor.

No yeet only makes sense if we think there's an Illuminati AND SB isn't in it. I actually find this hard to believe. So it's between yeeting SB and going for a random/policy yeet.
Yeah, I'm going with SB. The only way this can come back to kill us is if there's an Illuminati and SB's not in it.
[vote]Stealthbomber16[/vote]
To repeat the case on DM/SB one last time: DM hasn't made sense, he didn't use his top-poster status to steer town productively, his reads make no sense, everything he says is really just to back up what he said in his third post (that me and MM are scum together), and he's discredited me, MM, and Renegade several times.
If you want more details on any of the above, just look through my posts. I've spelled out each of these in more detail at least once.
If we're in setup A/D, a no-yeet is just throwing away a chance to yeet mafia. If we're in B/C/E/F, we're in trouble only if we yeet non-Illuminati. I know I'm not Illuminati, and I know Martin isn't. Of the 7 of you left, THREE would be Illuminati. There's just no way DM/SB isn't one of them if that's the case.

We're less than 7 hours to EoD. As far as I see, we only have about 3 options:
1. Yeet SB anyways because his slot was looking incredibly scummy before
2. Random/policy yeet someone
3. No yeet
I'm honestly torn between all three, but I'm leaning toward the first one. I don't think any amount of pressure is going to make someone look as scummy as DM was. There's no point in going after someone for being scummy if we're just going to ignore DM's slot. If Martin's not checking SB, then we're not going to get any information on him and still have this problem to resolve tomorrow.
If there is an Illuminati, we might not be able to afford to misyeet today. (setups E/F could give Illuminati the ability to instahammer D2 by revealing their Mayor) But we *could* afford to no-yeet. It just means, assuming the Mafia NK doesn't hit Illuminati, we're in a 5v3 tomorrow and need to unanimously vote to yeet Illuminati. If we no-yeet today, I would 100% yeet anyone who turns up as Illuminati to Martin.
If there isn't an Illuminati, a misyeet today probably leaves us 4v2v1 tomorrow as opposed to 5v2v1. I'd personally prefer to have two opportunities to yeet Mafia (D1 and D2) as opposed to having to rely on Martin recanting and townsiding.
But then again, my gut answer to "why didn't DM get more votes?" is that he's in an Illuminati and his partners weren't voting him.

, while you're here, who are your top scumreads? (or, if you're still only reading people as town/null, who are your least-town nullreads?)
1. Matt and MM share a night chat, and AT LEAST Matt is Illuminati
2. Frinckles and Renegade share a night chat AND Renegade is the one in the Illuminati but Frinckles isn't
3. yzb is town and is thus removed from the picture
That's how I think he built his scenarios. For the scenarios where the above assumptions didn't fill in the entire Illuminati, he figured Mesk was the last Illuminati. But he didn't mention why it had to be Mesk instead of you, the other person he hadn't cleared. (this was not the only part of his logic I couldn't follow)

Your sole job is find Illuminati if they exist. If you think someone is more likely to be Illuminati, go ahead and check them instead. I think DM was scummy and was more likely Illuminati than Mafia. I'd be very interested in having a better idea if he's Illuminati or not.
Like I said when you were busdriver, follow your own reads. If there's an Illuminati, there are THREE of them, and they really don't want you checking them. If checking Stealth wouldn't give you useful information, you don't have to. (For the record, if there is an Illuminati, I think they're not willing to take the risk and be all "oh no you shouldn't waste your time checking me." I think MM is town, and him being willing to agree with your lists reinforces my townread on him. If you want to keep to your original list, I think it was a good list and you wouldn't really go wrong.)

I'm going to bed now. In the morning, I'm going to re-read Mesk in light of DM's replacement. I haven't liked anything she's posted, but I honestly stopped paying attention when DM started hard pinging my scumdar.

Yeah, you get to live at least one more day. This is exactly the sort of response I'd expect if someone replaced into DM's slot and was actually town.

I... instinctively trust that SB is telling the truth. I like MM's test, but then again I recall a pre-retirement game where scum won because someone had a very specific roleclaim on the spot. (@Mesk514, I think we were in that game, and that scum may have been you)
As much as I had a hard scumread on DM, I think the best play at this point is to have Martin check Stealth tonight. I was suspecting DM being more likely Illuminati than Mafia, and I'd really like to find out. We can resolve his slot D2.

Bruh, why are you only voting me for pressuring you instead of voting DM for accusing you of being the last scum with almost no basis? (How in the world DM is putting Mesk on a scumteam with me instead of filling in Auwt with the PoE...)
@MarshmallowMarshall, Renegade, I know you're at least a little suspicious of DM. Why stay on a Frinckles train right now?
Mesk514, if you're town, I'm willing to re-read you if you take another look at DM's posts.

tbh, I'm deeply suspicious of the fact that DM's train only has two people on it. Auwt, yzb25, Frinckles, do you *really* townread this man?
Well then how TF am I suppose to get credit when you don’t even flip your scum role.
Playing stupid now to play to everyone's "DM just makes shitty plays without thinking them through" bias isn't helping your case.
If you're town, there's no reason for the charade. If you actually think I'm scum, just make the case. Don't feign ignorance to deflect attention off of yourself.

I'm heading off for a while. I'm still *very* interested in hearing a defense of DM other than "if he were scum he wouldn't be this bad at it." (from MM)

For the record, I think I'm scumreading Mesk for different reasons than MM: My scumread is based on Mesk's OMGUS reaction and lack of willingness to vote DM for doing something that made her "weary." MM seems more inclined to think MM is powerwolfing by intentionally misrepping me and MM. tbh, I think Mesk genuinely missed the context of the screenshot I posted. Mesk said she was on her phone last night, and I'm inclined to believe the screenshot simply didn't display well on her device.
I guess I was thinking of that specific post when I voted you. (#351) It didn't look genuine. And it just seemed like a weird thing to take away from mesk's votes back there. Pushing anyone is great I guess. Maybe I'm just pulling shit out my ass to justify what my gut feels lol.
Very interesting choice of words for a man with a toilet avatar.
are you sure you're understanding MM's post. If anything the post is a defense of you.
I'm pretty sure Mesk was accusing MM of being inconsistent by going from scumreading me to suddenly joining me on the Mesk train. Mesk was going after me, but *MM's* post was about how MM getting on the train wasn't a wild inconsistency.

To followup: I think missing context after it's been pointed out several times is scummy. When MM says Mesk is experienced, he's implying experienced town try to tell the truth and avoid misreps, while experienced scum actively try to distort the narrative. (instead of just "pretending to be town" like inexperienced scum). Marshmallow Marshall, is this an accurate summary of what you meant there?
I also don't think he's only focused on Mesk atm. (notice the talk about DM and the vote being on Frinckles)
