For sure. One thing I got taught by [MENTION=10220]Distorted[/MENTION] is to not derail someone who is trying to push you. It will only cause them to suspect you harder. Just take whatever they’re giving you and be truthful. I suppose a corollary that I’ve started to work out is that you shouldn’t let a scum get a free pass for pushing you. If someone is trying to scumpaint you, don’t give them a free pass for it just because.

Although that begs the question, how do you do that without making it seem like you’re flailing under pressure?

Interesting to see how my views have changed LOL. I’d be more interested in a guide of various psychological tells than a primer on logic. Back when I played the mod I always used psych tells to identify scum, sometimes relying on instinct and sometimes on observation.

The thing about Mafia is that pure logic is never enough in this game. There is subtext to everything and faction-meta and all sorts of metas that you cannot apply logic to.
