Summary: I've seen them do this before. If any of them happen to get host, they keep swapping eachother before players can get enough repick votes, and keep swapping back and forth making starting a game impossible.

I'll admit this is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, but must be reported anyway. Like always, I recommend a good taste of the kickvote list, as I consider watchlist useless. There are others who are going to report them as well.

They don't have to be directly involved with the detonation to be involved. I would be surprised if there wasn't at least one accomplice.
Tim McVeigh had two co-conspirators, though I have not read about how they helped him. They probably helped supply him.

In the movie "Unthinkable", Yusuf is revealed to be a former U.S Army WMD inspector, and he has advanced knowledge of the construction and composition of nuclear bombs, and thanks to good old Uncle Sam, they gave him training on how to build a nuclear bomb. While he'll have had to make contacts in order to acquire the materials and supplies required, tracing them could be very difficult. And compared to Tim McVeigh, just being a supplier isn't really being an accomplice.

Sidenote: I think it's not really that meaningful when a world leader takes to the stage and issues a condemnation of the attacks. That's something that they do to save face. So the Wikipedia article for these bombings will include hundreds of countries' condemnations.

TSA agents are not allowed to give women in niqabs/hijabs full-body patdowns for obvious reasons of extremist outrage. For a country that bombs the crap out of other countries, they at least respect their religious values. It's very likely that the TSA allowed a terrorist into Boston.

Like oops said, makes more sense that it is done by one person. Less chance of snitching, and less chance of infiltration by law enforcement. Homeland Security may have a lot of people and resources, but in times of peace they tend to focus their resources on known terror and militant groups, and not the following individuals:

-people that got fired from their job
-people who have had their lives ruined by family courts
-any veteran who has returned from a war
-people who have no social or romantic life

The list could go on. All these traits usually fit the profile of a mass-murderer. When Adam Lanza shot up those kids, the media went on stupid-mode and said "We should lock up everyone who has autism!"

The moral is: there are probably hundreds of thousands of potential bombers walking around in America right now. Of course, America is a country absolutely plagued with socioeconomic failures, and the government's mitigation is simply to beef up security instead of making the U.S a country where its citizens can breathe easier and have a less stressful life. For example, if you want to open a lemonade stand legally in the U.S, you have to pay for a bunch of permits that total $500.

The Lyanna Stark reference is only lightly hinted at throughout the first book, when Ned keeps repeating her last words: "Promise me, Ned." So far, GRRM hasn't revealed what that promise is. A lot of fans believe that Jon Snow is a Targaryen, as the "promise" could have been "keep him a secret and don't let them kill him." because if Robert knew, he would have.

In "A Storm of Swords", Beric Donarrion's squire, Ned (his nickname) was speaking with Arya during their journey. He explains that when he was a child, he and Jon Snow were "milk brothers", because he used Jon Snow's alleged mother, Wylla, as a wet nurse. He also swears this on the honor of his House, and reveals himself as Edric Dayne, Lord of Starfall.

However, he also reveals that his aunt, Lady Ashara Dayne and Eddard Stark were in love, but didn't reveal more than that, and that she jumped off a cliff to her death because of a broken heart.

There is also a theory from Lord Godric Borrell of "The Sisters", an island chain sworm to House Manderly. He talks about a fisherman and his daughter who helped transport Ned safely back to the North at the beginning of Robert's Rebellion. The fisherman died, but the daughter saw Ned safely to shore. He claims that Ned left her with a bag of silver and a bastard in her belly, that she named Jon snow after Lord Jon Arryn of the Vale.

Bunny and Lazers, here's a quote from "Phone Booth": "Thousands of people die every day, but you put one dead body in the middle of a busy street, and it makes people crazy! Look at all these people!"

Undeniably, this was an act of war by a single individual - and "crime" and "act of war" are mostly interchangeable words.

This isn't apologism, but it's an attempt at understanding: this guy is a nutcase, obviously. But there are hundreds of thousands of angry Americans, and they mostly keep their thoughts to themselves or face risk of arrest. He definitely isn't the only one walking around with intentions to kill a lot of people. The others just haven't found the will or means yet.

"Why doesn't he target the real evildoers instead?" The evildoers have planned well in-advance about this. That's why the G20 was a purely impenetrable event, and police gave top-level security to these cowardly world leaders who want to show how far-removed they are from the citizenry. The shooter in Texas only killed a few people, and they were single attacks on one individual at a time. He got a corrupt district attorney. On message boards, people generally didn't have much of an issue with this guy killing cops or judges.

However, combine insanity with inability to punish those responsible. The madman would then use his logic to conclude "I have to make my point, and if I can't get 50 politicians in one go, I'll try a marathon instead."

However, targeting large gatherings is the #1 strategy terrorists employ by default. Example: the Quebec/Ontario border just had an earthquake and nobody was injured, but they reported it anyway. Had the earthquake claimed at least 1,000 lives, it would face way more press time than 12 hours. The unfortunate truth is loss of human life is the only thing that makes an impact these days.

It could be that this is Ramsay in disguise, but very unlikely. When Ramsay was in disguise, he suggested flaying some captives, which Theon refused to do. So far, the new guy has been totally compassionate. But it's possible HBO will have him surprise Theon as Ramsay.

AngryOfficer is a way bigger troll than me, and I even told him so. But there is no AngryOfficer cult, is there?

Is inviting afk players really something Blizzard would punish? Blizzard felt the need to implement a TWO-MINUTE WAIT for people "deciding" if they want to join or not. Did they not anticipate what could happen? Would it make logical sense for Blizzard to ban someone for using their in-game features?

Then again, the fine-print says they can ban for no reason at all if they wanted.

Looks like Angry will have to wait until SC2 goes on sale sometime :P

►►Re: Game of Thrones: Episode 23◄◄

I liked this episode compared to the last two.

    Successes:

-Tyrion dragging his chair around the council table to piss off his father and sister
-Sandor Clegane hitting his head when entering the wagon
-Podrick gets laid, and the whores like him so much they refuse his gold
-Edmure Tully failing hard at shooting arrows, and FINALLY they show Riverrun in the show

    Fails:

-showing Theon about to get buttraped, I mean this is the best HBO could do to the Theon plotline? WHERE IS RAMSAY???
-showing the Ironborn as chasing Theon down. This never happened in the books.
-anytime Queen Jeyne "The Medic" has a scene, I cringe.
-Gilly giving birth in a shack instead of in Craster's Keep, in the books Sam goes outside to ESCAPE the noise!
-Missandei is supposed to be a little Naathi scribe, 11 years old, and white. They instead gave us a 25-year old black woman.

I think it was cruel what Theon went through at the hands of Ramsay Bolton, but GRRM did write it. I have a fear that HBO is about to RELEASE THEON back into the hands of his family, and he won't end up losing any fingers.

Alright it's been confirmed: Justin Trudeau (who I voted #3) will be the next Liberal leader. The NDP was the only other party that has enough support to have significant influence over Parliament, but public opinion is divided on them. After all, they lost all my support when they supported the York University strikers. People who were getting paid a pretty good wage to grade papers for teachers went on strike and BLOCKED STUDENTS from entering the campus! Yes, you pay tuition and have to go through a checkpoint in order to attend class.

All parties voted to send them back to work, except the NDP.

►►Canadian Election to kick our George Bush out!◄◄

Here are some great things our Prime Minister has done to our country:

    1) Allowed Jasper National Park in B.C to be sold to a mining corporation.

    2) The "Safe Streets and Communities Act". Basically $25,000 extra per prisoner. With this law, a man who has sex with a child serves less time than a man running a marijuana grow-op. Oh don't forget the mandatory 3-year minimum prison sentence if caught as a party to trafficking!

    3) The G20, spent about $50k on the worst art exhibit ever, and billions of our dollars to have a big gangbang with the G20 leaders while police crushed demonstrations outside.

    4) Like the U.S, Canada was pretty much the only other Western nation to vote against Palestinian statehood.

    5) Canada harbors the "Jewish Defense League", a group some would describe as a militant/terrorist organization.

I voted for the next Liberal leader of Canada, and the one I voted for is Joyce Murray. She wants to improve our election system so it's more democratic and representative. Did you know only 37.65% of the votes went to Harper, but he still got in? At least yours is based on beating 50%, ours is whoever has the biggest slice of pie, gets all the pie.

    Stephen Harper is Canada's Bush.

Admiral, they can afford it. They had a LEAN budget for the GoT series, as seen by the total elimination or replacement of key characters in the books. "Let's just wipe this WHOLE chapter so we don't have to bring the actors on next year. Let's also screw with this plot dynamic." I'm surprised they didn't give Bran the dragon eggs.

Makes me wonder what kind of creative input GRRM had on the series, or if he just said "go ahead".

He spent years writing each book. HBO is basically deleting key characters, like Vargo Hoat. They also killed Xaro Xoan Doxos in season 2 because it would be 2-3 years before they could bring him back again in season 5. So they just had Dany lock him in a vault with her handmaid Doreah (who actually does die in Clash of Kings).

It's good that they're giving the Boltons some coverage in this season, but they haven't shown one flayed man yet. After depicted having his fingernail gouged out, Theon is still seen with intact fingers.

Tomorrow's episode 3. Let's see what surprises are in store, and what disappointments!

At least you weren't arrested on some trumped-up disorderly conduct charge, which is basically a "jail for nothing" charge. I do agree that most cops are just doing their jobs, and ones I've encountered weren't excessively abusive in their express authority, although I did have one bitch cop. Rest were U.S border agents on Canada side who are trained (or allowed) to be total assholes to travellers. OMG you're coming into my country, why???? WHYY ARRGHH DEMON MORPH!!!

I am a believer in Robocop as a policing concept, because with modern-day police abuse (as an extreme example), people tend to focus on human aspects of the cop like "Who hired him?" "Why does he still have a job?" "Does he have no shame?", and the fact they have to co-exist in peace with this abuser of citizens under internal investigation.

If you programmed a Robocop (one that has been tested to oblivion for glitches and bugs), and gave it all the basic policing and interpretive situation analysis programming that most cops are supposed to follow at the end of their training, you could start to see less police brutality. If sent to suppress riots, they would simply just hold a dude down and not keep kicking him in the head or zapping him, though they'd have all sorts of weapons available - they'd be trained on when to/not to use them.

I'll have to read the series to confirm, though I have it untouched on my bookshelf. I just didn't like the Middle-Earth realm of fantasy, particularly because it always seemed like the realm was being swarmed with evil from time-to-time. Game of Thrones is mostly just bannermen sent to clash against each other.

Anyway, about similarities: LOTR film series just left out a lot of things, but it followed a similar path and didn't say "You know what? Let's make it so that Arwen saves Frodo from the spider LOL!"

This is the first in the HBO series I can confirm, that has totally screwed up what it was trying to follow in the books. Yes it's 10 episodes, but here's what they could have done better:

    1) Theon getting tortured by Ramsay, and Ramsay telling him background information on his own life while having Skinner remove flesh from his fingers. Because that is what happened (untold) throughout "A Storm of Swords". "A Clash of Kings" and "A Dance with Dragons" takes place during the same time period as each other, and that is when Theon reveals all this. But there is more yet to be seen.

    2) At least have a more common introduction with Meera and Jojen, saying that "Hey, you're on our lands and we stumbled upon thee!" or something like that, because they are children to his family's bannerman, Howland Reed.

    3) They screwed up the marriage plot entirely, they could have fit in the original just fine with Tywin as the current Hand. Sansa was plotted to be married off to Willas Tyrell, a crippled man but much more gentle than Joffrey would have been, but they marry her to Tyrion to secure Winterfell to House Lannister's name.

    4) They should've at least given Thoros a lute, because the singer had one in the books.

Oh and one more thing, the actors getting older. It's hard to tell with older ones like Robb in his 20's, Rickard in his old years, etc. But the really younger ones are becoming teenagers now: Bran and Arya. Joffrey still has that brat face, but he isn't as rageful as he's described in the books. Arya's supposed to be 9 or 10 by now and that's central to her character: how she has to mature so much at such a young age: killing people, being there at her father's beheading, and having to hide her identity from the world.

So I just torrented another episode of this show, like I'd ever pay for it. The first season was more relevant to the books. Second one followed similar lines. This one is just totally screwed.

    HBO Fails:

    1) Person torturing Theon is unidentified, but doubtful that he is Skinner (the primary torturer Ramsay Bolton uses in the books). Then there's a boy sweeping saying he'll help Theon escape. If he is a replacement for Kira helping Theon escape, then we know what fate awaits the boy. 100% doubtful that HBO will ever do good makeup of a 100% flayed man, as in had all his skin peeled off.

    2) Jojen and Meera Reed: I'll always hate them in the series, Meera's hot for sure, but they seem like ominous random mages that popped out of nowhere. This is the best mighty HBO could accomplish.

    3) Tyrion agreeing to a marriage to Sansa Stark to hinder Littlefinger's plans? Never happened that way, he loathed every part of the marriage to Sansa and it was forced upon him by Tywin. Stupid HBO, making Shae to be more of a character than what she really is in the books - just an expensive whore.

    4) Brotherhood Without Banners: Thoros of Myr was fatter and never the leader of the company Arya stumbles upon, and she stumbled upon them at a farm.

    5) Margaery warming up to Joffrey, and revealing that Renly wanted to give her anal, but she's like "it can't possibly produce any children!" GG FOR RENLY'S LINE!

    6) Catelyn giving "expanded universe" info on Jon Snow, saying in a stupidly-scripted montage of how her sons died because she prayed that Jon Snow would die when he was sick as a child.

    7) Sansa so willingly giving honest information to Olenna Tyrell on a nice quiet day in the flower gardens of King's Landing. In the books it was in a private chamber with a bellowing singer screaming so loud so Varys' little birds could not hear. They obviously took no such precautions in this show.

I'll watch every episode, and watch it fail. Come back next week for Episode 3!
