The only thing that nerfing the penalty for lynching a jester would do is make it even easier to win as jester. If you have a problem with the jester role then you should either buff the penalty for lynching a jester (to at least 1/2 of all voters die), or remove the role completely.

Are you going to disallow any mentions and/or references of COM names at all though Jack? I think that is the path that you should take, because otherwise it becomes too easy to suggest that you may be one COM name or another when people start guessing. I would just disallow any posts that mention COM names no matter what the subject. I definitely made a mistake with the one night action I had as Guardian (Dark Thief). Knowing that I was going to get shot I should have stolen from Vornskr to get myself jail immunity. I then would have at least had a chance to claim being mod-killed and re-rolled as a town thief. That claim would have even been supported by Admiral's spy reveal showing that the mafia knew Vornskr was jailor, because what kind of Dark Thief would intentionally get jailed?
