the host told me that i was killed because they thought i was aang because of my plan on d1. while in this case they were right, the reason wasn't that proper. i made the plan up before game started, so i probably would have posted that no matter which role. so FN was lucky i really rolled aang. actually, i wouldn't even expect aang to do such obvious things, i would have thought i was not aang in this case^^ though i admit it was a mistake, when i rolled aang i shouldn't have posted this. it's really a pity, could have been really interesting, especially for me
i posted the citizen questions because they were of general interest, this didn't show i was aang. i still think ppl often misinterpret questions. the obvious aang questions i asked via pm.

@La: I like your idea. The only problem is if some easily confirmable rp role claims that they became king bumi the jailor and then we realize that a jailor is present in the game due to feedback claims or the role that is like a gunsmith comes in the game. I was trying to think about this and say maybe at least 3 people claim each easily confirmable rp name each night. I think we should add this to make the plan better.

List of confirmable rp names: Master Pakku, Yue, Bato, King Bumi, possibly Suki (I forget if fighting gives feedback).

    RE: Lynch:
Need some time to look over things further. I've physically read all the posts up until now, but due to scheduling things, I haven't really been able to revisit ISOs of Tho and Kyoshi and June (who seem to be the tossed around names for the lynch) in order to make an updated decision. Although I will say that I thought Kyoshi seemed active enough to be able to respond to some pressure and it's interesting/bad? that Kyoshi seems to start lurking once people started voting her. I don't like this at all since Kyoshi was active enough yesterday to be around more than this.
also true. we cannot force any players to claim one of these roles because if they don't they're instantly found. but we could make it random. everyone goes to random.org and creates a random number from 1-5
if it's 1-4 you claim one of the confirmable roles, if it's 5 you claim an other role. but everyone really has to use random.org or it won't work. at best you also use random.org again to determine your exact role claim

like this 80% of claims will be confirmable roles, this prevents the mafia from knowing "so there must be a jailor, it's either x or y (those who ever wrote jailor)" because many people will have claimed jailor (3-4 per day)

@La- I think that plan could really work for information. Does the avatar get a notification that he visited Bumi, Iroh, and Pakku?. Although if Aang visits a non citizen and they claim a rp role and then he converts an actual citizen and he claims the same rp role then it could end up with getting a town killed.
hm legit concern but we can bypass it by just taking a random role of ALL town pr roles, not just the non-presets.
then, if a preset rp role is visited by aang he can write his preset RP role.
this change wouldn't increase the information of the mafia: they can only say: this player is either a citizen, a preset RP role or any of the non-preset rp roles he wrote. (because even a preset RP role would only write his real role if visited by aang)

this is what i think zuko and iroh will do:

act as a citizen. try to seem very pro townish.
by doing this they may get aang to visit them so they know aang. then zuko jails aang to evolve his win condition, which is certainly his primary goal.
this could very well mean that lion turtle is a traitor.
besides they will hunt for aang. who did that so far? right. kw3 with his survey (he tried to present in a townish way). he also blamed someone else to be traitor to make himself look less traitor. high chance he is traitor too. they might even be on a team without knowing. in this case i'd guess that zuko is kw3, because the survey is the perfect way to get aang n1 and iroh is lion turtle who wants to get aang in the long run to tell zuko. please also note that kw3 thought aang was going to cooperate with zuko because we thought it wouldn't harm him. if he had known that and if i am right about him being traitor, he would not have made this survey

Spoiler : Analysis of the survey questions :

This question was intended to hint at various colors associated with the different tribes. I wanted to see who would be a town tryhard and pick blue/green vs. who would be bold enough to pick red (the color of the fire nation). I think it is a towntell that Wang Fire had the balls to pick red as his color which shows that he has little to hide.

This is a simple filler question. I just wanted to have a pick 2 so that I could ask a pick four without seeming random.

This is a simple filler question. I just wanted to have a pick 3 so that I could ask a pick four without seeming random.

This question was meant to be a way to get stealth Aang/not Aang claims from players. In the series, Aang picks a clay turtle, pull string propeller, a wooden monkey, and a wooden hand drum which are symbolized to represent the four nations and were once the toys of the previous Air Nomad Avatars. You might get upset with me for trying to draw out 5 stealth claims of Aang/not Aang, but my rationale was not to actually find Aang/not Aang because not everyone here will know the Avatar RP enough to know that picking a series of four items is an Aang claim. My main motivation was to try to see how people who know the rp of the series would respond to some blatant Aang/not Aang rolefishing.

And look: someone noticed the role fishing! More about him later.

Spoiler : Questionairre responses for reference :

Spoiler : What I learned from non-response responses to the survey :

Lion Turtle, La, and Pathik know their Avatar lore. It’s questionable/uncertain if others do or not. I would expect the three of them to know the meaning of the fourth survey question.

Pathik and La chose not to respond to the survey or call me out on it. What does this mean? Not really sure if I can draw meaningful conclusions yet.

However, Lion Turtle did respond. Let’s look at an assortment of Lion Turtle’s posts and see what we can find.

Lion Turtle starts out as wanting people to claim Aang/not Aang in jail to Zuko. Very pro-traitor.

Backtracks a little bit, maybe he feels like his first post was too aggressively pro-traitor?

Lion Turtle seems WAAAAY too protective of Iroh in this post. Zuko/everyone in the whole game can win without Uncle Iroh, which first made me suspicious that Lion Turtle could be Uncle Iroh/traitor aligned. In my opinion this makes sense, as all his posts are really pro-traitor evolving win conditions.

In this post, Lion Turtle calls me out on my survey, but doesn’t attempt to explain the survey or to stop the role fishing. It’s like he’s telling me that he knows what I’m doing but he wants to gain information about Aang/not Aang claims so he chooses not to explain what I’m doing. If Lion Turtle was town and wanted to protect Aang he could have explained the survey and why it was role fishing.

As a side note, I’d like to add that the survey can give Aang some rp protection because maybe the real Aang chose filling out the survey as an opportunity to fake claim not Aang.

Lion Turtle makes another huge protective post about Uncle Iroh. Everyone else is mostly of the opinion “screw Uncle Iroh if we find him.” I find this really interesting.

I think that we can scumhunt for Uncle Iroh. It seems like Lion Turtle is Uncle Iroh. I think that because of this, Lion Turtle is a good lynch target in order to potentially turn Zuko into a blue spirit to give Aang night immunity.

Super anti-Freedom Fighters post. Lion Turtle is not Jet.

    Another really protective-of-Uncle-Iroh post.

Lion Turtle brings out the anti-Fire Nation guns and wants prevent mafia from killing Tui to have an easier wincon. Notice also some key slips in this post:

“I want as many allies for town as possible” -> implies that Lion Turtle is not town. If he was town he would say “I want as many allies for us as possible.

“granted the chances of [mafia] getting allies is as slim as us getting allies, but it still deserves discussion” -> the evolved conditions for the traitors seems slimmer than the ones for team avatar imo, as Iroh has night immunity and Aang just needs to recruit 2 guys to Bumi and Paku.

Lion Turtle seems really really worried by the FF and mafia. Why is he never worrying about Zuko’s initial condition to defeat team avatar? Seems really pro-traitor again.

Lion Turtle likes my anti-FF plan but comments on how it’s not feasible when he himself is advocating some really unfeasible stuff that is instead really pro-traitor

If you don’t feel like reading through all the spoilers, the tl;dr is that I think that Lion Turtle is Uncle Iroh and Wang Fire is town.
tbh i didn't even read your survey since i considered it either rolefishing or just trolling. someone already wrote that it's rolefishing so it was not necessary to repeat this.

about the plan of avatar revealing you all forgot that zuko may not go for this. sure he jails aang to get a better win condition but then he just won't tell aang who iroh is, because why would he sell an ally for nothing because he already has aang. not to mention that it is actually a huge drawback for him if iroh dies (after he evolved his conditions) because he will become town so he has to kill the whole mafia, not just the admiral.
with this setup 'change' we can forget the plan anyway but what i want to point out is that, if zuko finds aang, he will try to protect iroh. in such a situation we shouldn't hunt iroh anymore because aang would be dead anyway, so blue spirit is useless + iroh is an ally. however if zuko doesn't find aang, we should lynch iroh and i don't think zuko would try to prevent us from this.
also, since zuko might very well betry iroh, i wonder if iroh even reveals in night chat. will they be automatically revealed to each other tonight?

    anyway i have another plan
next day, everybody writes a random RP role that is not in game from start. BUT the one who actually became an RP role writes the RP role he REALLY become. so aang gets feedback without revealing to the public who became which role. then d3 everyone takes ANOTHER random role (apart from the one who become an RP role this time), so we can avoid situations that the mafia knows "this player may only be citizen, a preset RP role or role x (x is the role he always used as random role)" which would occur if you do not change your random roles.
if we follow this plan, aang could easily find double claims and kill the mafia guy before the mafia kills aang (they know his identity then)

any comments? i don't see any drawbacks atm

does aangs airbending count for town(iroh)/(preventing) mafia(tui) evolved win condition

well we may find iroh aswell as we find any mafia players. and if we find him and have no better target for the lynch we should go for him imo. it was not as a town strategy to win this game^^

are all roles that are written as citizen in the setup really citizen or can there be some of the other RP characters too?
if there can be RP roles i need a list of which roles can spawn in earth citizen and which in water tribe citizen.
does blue spirit keep the ability of zuko?
if sokka encourages, will the encouraged person be able to use 2 abilities the same night or the next night
if jet converts an earth citizen, can he choose which role he becomes or is it random? can the freedom fighters have the same role twice?
can tui also be katara for example or only those that start as water citizen

    some thoughts

    sokka:
imo it's better to use the follow ability, at least as long as there is no confirmed better PR

katara: be careful, jet will surely try to convert you. it might be a good idea to use the freeze ability after a town lynch, unless there are important targets to heal like revealed TPRs

    aang:
this is the most important one. as i said, i don't think revealing is a good idea. but i wonder if it's better to airbend or to visit people.
also i wonder if he should take the risk of revealing to the mafia if he visits without any real clues. then he'll be dead very soon. discuss

    @wang fire:
kyoshi is a former avatar and kyoshi warrior is part of kyoshi warriors. simple as that

    Interesting thoughts.
but imo the risk of there being a bruiser is too high like you said the hosts dont want us to use such tactics. We cannot lose aang so early cause we need some more prs. Sure the bruiser couldnt kill while aang is jailed by zuko but after that appa couldnt do shit.

also we do not necessarily need iroh and zuko as ally. However zuko pretty much needs us. So if at all zuko should reveal. Then aang may speak to him. I doubt mafia would kill zuko

so imo aang should not reveal!

    win condition of blue spirit?
