Nah man. I'm competing for this one, depending on timing of FM start.

Main host should probably declare to the uninformed, as 1/3-1/2 of the players have an informed judgement for who host is.

I've thought about 9 key strategies depending on roles/alliances/power.

I think this game is easy enough to strategize at setup, but complicated enough to maintain effort. Especially D4-5 onwards, if I'm not mistaken.

Without revealing too much publicly, this is an epic FM that deserves more than 30 players. I could see this being a 40 player game given our base and off-site reach.

I wouldn't push to 50, as it would change the game almost entirely.

    Bring your A-game.

    Call out the old-schoolers.

I've been looking at a few of Firebringer's ongoing games at a different site (I hate that unnamed site), and there are a few people I want to invite to this game. They show depth but most of the games are very reactionary and ultra low post. E.g. ~13 player game 7 pages D1 with a few lurkers every game.

I followed the all-star game recently but those sites seemed random (mostly niche) and not very conducive to a larger game.

Yayap- come back for this one and bring a few plox. This is a setup worth the effort.

**edit** @ Yayap - if you want to compete at the next all-star, this is a possible ticket in.

So no way of confirming alliance through kills.

That'll be extra tough for houses without communication or known players.

So vanilla alliances must have more members for balance.

Will death descriptions include the victim and the killer's roles and/or alliance/houses?

    e.g.

    Player A died
    vs.
    Player A was killed
    vs.
    Player A was killed by (Jailor/Vigilante/Factional Kill/Arson/etc.)
    vs.
Player A was killed by House A
    vs.
    Player A was killed by House A (Jailor/Vigilante/Factional Kill/Arson/etc.)

    Player A was Role A
    vs.
    Player A was House A
    vs.
    Player A was Role A, House A

I think the necromancer may not be the witch doctor/cult creator that you were hoping for.

The alchemist may be like Firebringer's researcher from S-FM terminator, which is cool, because it can limit mass KPN if alchemist keeps making guns/fire balls. (1 kill every other night)

If I have the setup right, there will be an emphasis on teaming. In a lynch friendly set-up, this teaming/alliance-forging can really only happen with communication type roles.

I'm looking forward to seeing journalists, architects, neighborizers, jailors, criers. Hopefully one for each team, but especially for Houses whose unique advantage is limited to just size of the House- e.g. House Targaryen

Is there some type of unique communication role?

Yeah, I thought this would make the most sense as well.
    ============================

    Just some pre-game strategy thoughts.

I wonder how it'll go down in say a private 3 person room.
    1 player House A
    1 player House B
    1 player House C

If it's early game, would there be incentive for B&C to work together even though they're unaligned? (Except for House A alliance.)

If you're the last of house F, would the other houses ignore you to focus on weakening stronger houses?

Do you think this will be an aggressive or passive game?
I can see there's a 50% chance of correct lynch D1, greater still if you're not too concerned about a particular ally or you know your Housemates. This almost random aggressive lynch train will continue until there's some imbalance and one particular team is recognized as strong. In comes the buddying aspect of the game at that point.

I'm more interested in figuring out if aggressive players will hunt roles or houses.

Host is not secret, I think everyone knows who I am.

What do people want to know next? I will reveal anything except the actual setup itself. Like specific Rolecards, another House, Win Conditions, ect.
Are there any Neutral or Evil classes with no particular alliances to the houses?
E.g. Wins with all or none of the Houses?

If so, can you give us some examples, particularly for the evil roles?

I have some ideas on cult severely adding to the complexity of the game.

Game will not be following a story lol
These aren't the actual known roles to be in the game, just examples of what role cards could look like right?

I could give a fuck about RP accuracy amongst houses. :-P

I was just speculating about setup.

    House A wins with B&C
    House B wins with A&D
    House C wins with A&E
    House D wins with B&F
    House E wins with C&F
    House F wins with D&E

Each house has a unique advantage so buddying with a particular house will be advantageous at different points in the game.

The issue with buddying is that it exposes yourself. Which if you do so early it'll be an insta-lynch or night kill.

I see two factions having large voting bases as their unique advantage, so that would discourage an otherwise lynch friendly "Rambo" type set-up.

The issue with the lynch friendly, no alliance claim setup is it makes it difficult for the one OP evil killer (White Walker) to play well. It'll create a lurker true evil with almost no incentive to contribute.

As it stands, I can see:
    *edit*I remembered it's a 30 player game*
    2 Houses of 2 members
    2 Houses of 3 members
    2 Houses of 9 members
1 neut (Jester to discourage lynch friendly setup?)
    1 true evil

I can see the importance of inter-house night chats, last wills, journalists.

Should be a very fun game.

I hope I'm free when it starts.

I really like the journals idea.

I hope there are enough communication roles.

Maybe even a crier type role for one big house vs. a mayor type role for another big house.

    *edit* Is FM host secret?

    Predictions!!!

House Targaryen = Allied with Tyrell & Stark
    ^Team 1 'Town'
    House Tyrell =
    ^Team 1 'Special Forces'
    House Stark =
    ^Team 1 'OP solo player"

House Martell = Allied with Lannisters & Baratheons
^Team 2 'Special Forces' - capped to small house
    House Lannister =
    ^Team 2 'Town'
    House Baratheon =
    ^Team 1 'OP solo player"

    **edit*
only 2 houses can win together max.

e.g. Stark and Tyrell hate each other.
Lannister and Baratheon hate each other.

Each house will have a unique advantage.
E.g. House Targaryen has more numbers.

Houses will choose allies depending on what is needed.

This is going to be a brain fuck.

That is your tidbit of information for today.
Information will be released at the same rate that the M-FM progresses.
    Please no notebook spy/stealing roles.

    It makes them useless.
