Oh god. This is possibly the worst combination of people to have in a single universe. Ugh.
Let's see, we have...
1. Kyoko Kirigiri- AKA the random voter and setup ignore-er that started it all...
2. Yes- probably my #1 scum read right now.
3. Zealot- my #1 discredit-er
4. Zynonymous- Probably the best person on this list so far. Which isn't saying much since I have a null read on him. It's mostly just a low bar set by the first 3.
5. Almost Late- Has 4 posts to his name, none of which have been particularly insightful.
6. AnassRhamur- Has posted exactly once to say "-notafk". Yeah.
7. Cruise Elroy- Won't shut up about Pacman. We get it, your account name is an obscure Pacman reference. Woop-dee-fucking-doo
8. Kool-Aid- Almost exclusively shitposts with a couple of newbie questions mixed in.

Ugh this website is shitting itself, last post got deleted. Alright so finally found the universe. 2 or 3 of the people here are scum. Looking at the list i'm going to guess 3.
What i didn't expect and suprises me is that we can't see anything of the other universe at all. We can't see their chat , their votes, who died. I thought we would have acces to the thread. We should have tried to form a strategy before we split.
This also makes this game a whole lot harder considering scum can talk with each other 24/7 and report. So they know how the votes are going on the other side and try to sway if needed. And with the posts so far i think this is the hardest universe.
Yes why are you spending your time posting shitty emoticons, instead of being productive ?

Right now I'm thinking Kyoko & almost late.
Kyoko seems to have an attitude but has given minimal worthy input with it. This is in contrast to marksman who has as well an attitude, but at least explains why.
Marksman is probably one of my higher town reads. however I like Zealot as well. I think for pregame its important just to show up... give a little input here and there. I think scum would be more of the "go with the flow" kind of people.... but zealot doesn't seem to be taking other people's shit sooo

I agree. It would make sense for too much scum to be given the chance to have 3 lone mafia, it would never collapse. So it's sort of a given.
The setup stated that the universes split would not be random. I would assume that the power is evenly distributed for all roles.

Alright, so. Since people want me to get down to business, let's get down to it.
Zynonymous makes a good point about even power balance, and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes that way.
Assrhamur is looking like he's basically a spoiler for better players.
Marksman comes off town, seems very focused on getting the job done. I like this, although attitude could use some improvement.
Zealot is unreadable to me.
Yes isn't contributing and might be a good policy lynch. Or they could be a Citizen who is trolling.
That's what stands out to me right now.

I gun for anybody who shows anti town behaviour. He's hardly a low hanging fruit , he's simply useless right now.
Show me his town behaviour and i'll gladly move my vote, for now i don't see why you feel the need to defend him.

You didn't answer why you targeted one person showing anti town behavior over the other 3 that were also showing anti town behavior (me, cruise, and Marksman)
The only difference FMPOV is that Yes attracted more negative attention in the pre-game -> hence low hanging fruit
If I'm wrong correct me instead of using a "why are you defending him" blanket statement

You and marksman gave me a good impression in pregame trying to get discussion started.
That leaves cruise assra and yes
Assra posted once so my vote on him would do nothing because i doubt he is even coming back this day
That leaves cruise and yes. I made the choice for yes since i find 3 emoticon posts more ridiculous than some rp posts. Rp posts happen at the start and then die down
I hate this useless playstyle because it never benefits town. If he is tpr trying to hide he should learn how to actually hide and still contribute. Hence my vote

Not 50/50 by a long shot. And even if it was, why take the 50/50 when we can just lynch you 100% right here right now?
Because I'm town obviously. I think not lynching would give us more info than a shot in the dark lynch today. Ending the day with a vote on a player would be pretty anti town imo.

Interesting how only you picked up that I had an attitude, because you were the only person I said anything remotely mean to. And for good reason. Your first two points were trolly and unity-breaking. You clearly knew you were being abrasive, and now is minimizing what I've done in day one.
I don't actually see the arrogant attitude that Marksman displays. Well, not one out of the norm. There is a disconnect between their explanations and what they post to follow it up though. More on this in another post.
Zealot turned from a easy-going roleplayer to more serious one. I'm seeing this as a more town-like behavior as I can't see why a scum would switch like that.
Wishing that he'd explain why he didn't want me in his universe and why he thought my exercise was stupid yesterday.

I highly doubt they are doing a policy lynch over there. All the ones for it seem to be on this side. So if we are doing a policy lynch-- we will be the ones doing it.
I think we should wait until the latter half of day 1 for people to show up.
Also, your math is wrong. Policy lynching only needs to be or close to setup average chance of hitting scum, which is ~2.5/9

I think the chances of a jailor pulling a successful jail off are miniscule given all we need is one vote on one dude for a lynch to happen. Given the double-blind nature of the game, I can't see it easily happening; all scum have to do is post a vote at the last minute to prevent a jail. It'll reveal them as scum, sure, but they could sacrifice a useless role for a good role.

This is one of the scummiest things I've ever read. If we wait to lynch until the probability of hitting a scum is greater than the probability of hitting town, then town has (most likely) already lost. So a townie would never suggest such a strategy, because it is not a winning line of play. Therefore I can only conclude that you are scum. My vote stays.

Not quite. Only one lynch happens across both universes, so if we had 0 votes on anyone and a scum last-minute voted to cause a lynch, not only would they out themselves as scum (which should be enough to make this not worth it for them most of the time), but they also very likely wouldn't even cause a lynch as the other universe would only need to have 2 votes on a single target to prevent that from working.
That being said however, mafia can communicate 24/7, which means that if they're smart/active they will never try this tactic unless the mafia in the other universe give them confirmation that it would actually work. But they would still then be revealing themselves as mafia, so I still don't think it would be an effective strategy- they'd be better off taking their chances with the jailor.
Giving role information to a possible jailor is the idea. The idea isn't for him to execute lol.
That's even worse. Why would we want to no-lynch just so the jailor could jail and not execute? Are you trying to get yourself lynched? You know there's no jester possible in this setup, right?

Other than to quickly call people scum[#23, #110, #135, #151], Marksman only replies to defend herself. This is probably the "arrogant" attitude that others have picked up on— I'd simply call it that she is concerned about herself.

These blanket assumptions are useless. We could easily have 4 scum players in our universe. The balance will shift throughout the game so it doesn't really matter what we start with. Looking at the list of players shouldn't give you an idea of the amount of scum players we have.

Kyoko might be allied with him and trying to soft defend, or might have legitimate issue with Marksman, I can't tell yet.
AssRhamur is useless and might make a good lynch later if we don't have any better leads and he doesn't shape up.
In any event.

Ok, so given that you think the train on him mounted too quickly for him to be scum and you think he is responding to pressure in the correct way, why do you still have your vote on him?
I'd also like to point out that even though I just brought up the possibility of him being mafia, he could also be William Bell, which could explain both his scummy behavior and the speed at which the votes piled onto him. Though I personally am choosing not to read much into the speed of the train.

He started off the day by contributing absolutely nothing of value. Then the universes split and he continued to say nothing of value and instead spammed emotes. He also gave half-assed reads which he never bothered to explain, then outright refused to explain when asked. And even now that he's spent nearly half the day (post-split) with a pile of votes on him, he still has yet to provide any explanation or defense for his behavior. He has referred to lynching today as "anti-town" (which is funny because he has been on the chopping block all day) and is hell bent on letting a jailor jail instead despite the fact that we might not even have a jailor in the game let alone this universe.

<To Yes>
Not true at all, I have defended myself some, but those are not my "only" replies. Self defense isn't a majority or even a plurality. And it couldn't be further from the truth because I really don't give a fuck if anyone thinks I'm scum, but I know how this game works- if I ignore the accusations I'm "refusing to explain myself" and "ignoring the accusations/laying low and hoping they go away". So I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't. But I like the way you included that in your attack so that when I defend myself from your blatantly false accusations it looks as though I'm proving your point to further put me in an unwinnable position. Very sneaky.
Given that you made like ~10 posts yesterday and like 5 were of the defense of yourself. I would say yes, this is the truth. But maybe it was a bad characterization, because yes town defend themselves, and yes, I've caught scum spending the whole game defending themselves and only talking about themselves. I'm going to let this one go for now.
I explained myself. Learn to read. (http://www.sc2mafia.com/forum/showthread.php/38195-M-FM-Fringe-Day-1?p=645396&viewfull=1#post645396) Or get better at lying.
You called my analogy bad. Ok.
I like that you call me selfish here. 1) Because the closest thing you have to evidence is that I defend myself from attacks, which anyone would do and 2) Because even if I was selfish that means nothing in the scope of the game. All that matters is whether or not I'm scum, but you don't call me out as scum, you instead resort to attacking my character as if that somehow matters.
1) see below
2) "Selfish" was the wrong word. "Self-serving" would have been a better one. What people roll for a role and the way they act definitely is connected. Players who act too selfish are scum. If it wasn't clear, I was calling you scum.
This is your first and only fair criticism of me. I should have discussed the mechanics more. That being said, no one else really brought anything to the table on this topic or even expressed much interest in talking about anything other than the fact that I shit on their beloved "RVS" bulshit. So I only take half responsibility for this one.
Ok.
I was exasperated and that's exactly what zealot was doing, so yeah I stand by those posts.

Or they may have fully intended to lynch the person, but we managed to get more votes on whoever we decided to lynch that day. Furthermore, even if the visitor was hailed as the towniest towny to ever town in the other universe, they lacked the knowledge that he could switch universes, so we have new information that they did not have. I keep forgetting that only one universe gets to lynch. Also, after thinking about it, I don't see why an enhanced citizen would want to switch in the first place.
I quite like you mentioning the policy lynching of them. It was mentioned in setup workshop by one of the critiques, but I just can't see why William Bell would want to switch universes. He charges a person in each universe, which means he doesn't need to switch to kill. A possible reason he would switch would be if he came under suspicion, in that event, wouldn't we just simply tell him to switch back to their own universe/ threaten to policy lynch him then? I'd guess it would have to depend on what kind of news they bring.

Just to give info about what's happening in the other universe is the only reason I can think of.

Hello hello. Im starting to like kiri more and more with the discussion he is bringing forward good job
Now where i left of before hitting the pub was thinking about a koolaid or cruise lynch. Ill reread em both but im going to place my vote on koolaid simply because he sticks on the yes train that i started but called me scummy. Looks to me like a scum throwing shit at the wall hoping for it to stick.

16 hours. If we are going to commit to attempt a lynch no we the time to start coalescing votes on a single person. Once I get a moment here soon ill try to review both kool aid and Cruise to see if anything stands out to sway any votes.
If you want to start a new train (anyone) now is the time to do so, not in 10 hours, so we have time to talk about it.

Hi
So apparently almost mate feels like I'm try to show shot to the wall to make it stick??? Uh... just because you started the yes train doesn't mean I'm not allowed to read you both as scum... scum will throw shade on each other which is what I feel your opinion on yes was coming from... now that you see you started a train on a scum mate you're trying to redirect it... even if you're not scum just because I had a scum vs. scum read on your interaction is not something that's alignment indicative.
Anyways I'm removing my vote... at this point i feel it's best that our universe goes into no lynch and let the other universe battle it out. also take advantage if we have a jailpr and such

Wtf?
I did a quick iso of Kool Aid. It took 2 minutes as there's literally nothing there except this post:
Okay so on a little productive note. I'm going to place my vote.
[vote]M-FM Yes [vote]
This is someone who hasn't shown anything really since we came into this universe even though it's clear they had a chance. This is someone I wouldn't really like to see at the end of the game either if this is how they're going to act. so I'm going to place my vote there and if they change their demeanor then I may be relevant to change.
This was the third vote on yes and he was all for lynching him to not have him be around til the end of the game and be useless. Yet Anass hasn't been useful, either has Cruise, but he piled on Yes because it was convenient.
The only thing that has changed from then until now is that Kool Aid has votes, nd Yes has been posting and trying. So why not vote for Cruise or Anass? Why all of a sudden go from "you're expendable cause you're a liability" to agreeing with Yes' original argument to no lynch?

I wish i could multiquote from the other thread to give an ISO of koolaid's posts. But i'll paraphrase what i see and you can comfirm yourself.
The Koolaids:
first 10 posts are worthless talk, no intention of discussing the game. I can forgive this its early game.
Then we have 4-5 of the usual posts about him being new and only apologising for his english, i wonder if this is trolling. He also claims being new
but before that in his 3rd post he referred to Deathworlds as DW i'm unsure if this is pure luck that he uses the acronym we've given DW for years now since its quite common.
After that he comes with a post stating what i said. there beijg 2-3 scum in our universe.
Then he says he sees me and Kyokianime are his scumreads. as quoted here
"Right now I'm thinking Kyoko & almost late.
I think scum would be more of the "go with the flow" kind of people.... but zealot doesn't seem to be taking other people's shit sooo"
This is the post that gave my initial scum impression of him.
This is basically him in a nutshell but apparantly enough for a scumread
He said this 2 posts earlier "I'm going to agree with Zealot to be honest, a lot of what you say comes out negative or as if you feel superior to others which is as normal thing to question"
Literal 360 from what he says 2 posts after.
Again of the people he scumreads they don't do that this is also such a general statement.
Then i'm never mentioned
This is why Koolaid comes over so fishy to me and thats not even going into detail of his later posts but i have to go for 3 hours so adios.
he only gets scummier after wanting to lynch yes and then no lynch at all this man is going back and forth constantly

Well, things moved fast while I was working. As far as I can tell, Kool-Aid is belly up at this point. Ass is still useless. Zealot, Almost, and Marksman seem to be our strongest players and I'm pretty sure one will end up town leader soon if they haven't already. Kyoko seems to be doing their own thing.
If I had to guess my scum now, I would suspect Kyoko, if only because they tried(and succeeded) to derail the train on Yes, who comes off pretty scummy to me. Could be an attempt to save a weak ally, or could be that they legitimately find me scummy instead.
KoolAid's lynch doesn't make much sense to me. His bellyup seems more like a bored townie (Citizen) or very weak/new player than anything else. I suppose he could also be the William Bell and giving up because he can't see how he can win. Not to mention we're piling up votes on him pretty fast despite earlier concerns that it would be hard to get a good train going on a scum. Are we sure we don't want to discuss this more?

Of course we can discuss it more. Start talking if that's what you want to do.
This train though formed a lot differently than the train on Yes. I had to practically pull Yes's teeth out to get him to vote for Kool Aid. And I feel good about the other two on the train. I think the chance of this flip being scum is fairly good. That is if our 4 votes are even enough (Anass doesn't even acknowledge me telling him to vote Kool Aid)

Reads in FM is about reading into what people say. Is someone trying to manipulate the game? Are people genuine in what they say? Why are they saying one thing and voting differently, are they purposely avoiding talking about certain players, etc. There's a learning curve but you'll catch on if you try.

I dislike these votes. Problem with trains too big is that they remove any possibility for the other universe to make a lynch happen.
Tomorrow we should cap trains with certain votes. If nobody in our universe dies. We should cap at (#players of Prime - 3 or 4)
Because if one universe is dwindling in town we are fucking them by making trains this big.
