Does mayor auto-lose 1v1 ties with the mafia? Or is the game smart enough to prevent this?

Citizens would become even more useless..
Also imo this would make mayor overpowered, bodyguards and doctors on mayor every night..

The mayor gets multiple votes because he is trusted by the other townspeople. When there is nobody left to trust him, he has lost his authority (because the mafia doesn't care for it).

Mayor loses. Just like Mason Leader loses to Cultist in a tie.
Less mafia than there is town, therefore harder to win with, that's why they get win priority over town.

A Mayor has no one to follow his doctrine and office policy nor support him when the entire town is also dead. So why should he win against someone who owns guns or knives and has the intent to kill?

Generally, the side that has the fewest members to start with gets preference with tie-game winning.
