That being said, I've got all the components to the Staff of Herding minus the 150,000g buy cost.

If anyone's interested in chipping in, I'll give you free portals to it, and we can work out some sort of arrangement for later difficulties of it when I end up dropping more money into it.

I am so disappointed in this game, I am considering doing the 30 day return. It's been stripped of everything that was good from Diablo II and for the time it took them to make it. I have to say it's actually a bad game and I am revoking my Diablo fanboy status myself.

Anyone who thinks this game is truly GOOD is a retard. Is it OKAY? Yeah I guess. Are there many many better games out? Absolutely.

The item system needs to be revamped so badly it hurts. The itemization feels like if they took vanilla WoW itemization and shoved it into release D2. It's like LOD didn't exist to the dev team.

In other news, I've concluded that invulnerable minion Vile Swarms are nearly impossible to kill. The fucking minions hug the elite like none other and you can't even tell cuz the fuckers don't have health bars and are barely visible.

Beat Act IV hell this morning with a wizard. I haven't figured out a great way to have survivability and DPS, so I have DPS and spam diamond skin.

Inferno is nuts.

Sorry but there's no "running" you through hell. I'm still in Act 2 and you'd be pulling your own weight or you'd be dead.

Act 2 is obnoxious in hell. The mobs hit ridiculously hard, and I don't think the gear is matched well with the difficulty for someone in the 50-55 range. It seemed like every elite was arcane/jail combo, and then you've got those annoying wasps shooting projectiles that do 5-10k damage per hit. It was a really painful progression, and that was with a really good monk playing alongside me.

For what it's worth though, assuming you'll be ~56 when you finish act 2, the gear gets better and Act 3 is not nearly as difficult. Act 4 isn't easy, but it is short, and most of the bosses are optional.

omg wizard is so noob at lower levels but they are prutty gud at lvl 50+. (as in DPS)

I have always prefered the likes of a wizard in RPG's when given a choice. In Diablo 2 I think my highest wizard was at 63 before I stopped.

I am going to try to go the full way if possible. Time will tell.

It does kinda suck that you can't allocate you attribute points anymore. I guess my Wizard can't come out noob like in Diablo 2.

(I gave my Wizard 180+ Strength so I could get her to where this Ornate Plate Armor that I really liked.)

Yeah, I was done using pet spells half way through Nightmare.

Pet spells are still my favorite..although they seem to be getting weaker quest after quest

Level 53 Wizard, also in Act 1 Hell. I don't get instakilled but some of them can still take half my health in one hit.
At level 54 we get a Energy Armor rune that says that attacks can't do more than a % of our max health.
a MUST have for later Hell acts/Inferno.
