Available Roles

Miller

• Looks evil to investigative actions.
• Flips as evil.

Sheriff

• Investigate someone to determine if they are suspicious or not.

Mafia

• The informed minority, these roles must eliminate the Town, other Mafia factions, the cult and evil killing neutrals.
• Has Night chat at night, including night 0.
• Must eliminate Town.

Available Abilities

Night Kill

• Kill a person at night. This may be submitted in alongside any other abilities.

Available Roles

Framer

• Frame other people for murder, changing most investigation results on them. Can frame as town or mafia.

Goon

• A henchman of the mafia.

Phase Length 48/24

Starts on N0. Towns members may submit their preference for what their preferred vote system every night. They may choose one of:
- Majority
- Pluarlity
- Pluarlity with Majority auto
- Condorcet

Secondary vote option for the vote systems. Regular or Mayor. Everyone may participate in this one. If they choose mayor, the players will instead vote to elect someone. At the end of the day, that person will choose to kill someone instead of the usual 'being voted out of the game'.

Is the Factional Kill seen as a full action? In other words, can a Mafia member perform the factional kill in addition to his own ability?

If not, this leads to a suggestion: Replacing the Godfather with another Framer, and making the Factional Kill a full action. This would allow for double-framing plays from Mafia early on in order to stop people from becoming confirmed town in the eyes of some people, while sacrificing a kill. If this happens, it would mean that the kill is not compulsory, though.

How will the vote system be chosen, exactly? I get that it's by vote, but this needs more precisions concerning when it is chosen, if it lasts for all game or for a limited amount of time, which choices are available.

What is the OoO? This is important, in order to know if framer's frame happens before or after sheriff's check.


Edit: To clarify the 2 framers suggestion, when only one mafia member would be left standing, they could kill + frame at the same time.

What happens if there's a tie in votes for the vote system?

And yes I know it'd be quite... weak... lol.


Concern that comes up now: Any Sheriff who get an innocent check knows that their target was town. Can't that lead to a whole "follow the confirmed townie" situation, especially if people vote for the Mayor option? My earlier suggestion with 2 framers could help with this, I think.

I think Miller as evil with possible framer is enough WIFOM to dissuade folks from things.

Another possible solution would be a hidden naive sheriff in the game

And quite meaningless, too. I think the invest info needs to remain meaningful, but Mafia needs to have more than just a frame and a kill. OR...


Idea : Put an Insane Cop or one of its variants in the setup. That would make the info not confirmed, but still meaningful.
