Greif Lagging - Not Against The Rules?

We've all been there, right? Playing an average game and all of a sudden, Someone decides to max out their settings on Low-End computers or decide to toggle their internet to and fro. Eventually, those ten seconds on the timer becomes six minutes. And then nearly the entire game has quit. Pain, right?

So I was playing an average game of Mafia and after telling the lag creator that "Lagging the game to get others to quit is against the rules", in an attempt to make him stop, a SupMod chimes in saying "Lagging the game is not against the rules" and I was issued a SupMod Warning for "Spreading False Information" (Lol).

So my Question to the Mafia community is, why isn't Greif Lag against the SC Mafia Rules?

theres a big debate on grief lag, some people think it can be intentional or not. I personally think it should be against rules because it's not funny and it's annoying. Worst than gamethrowers.

Still amazed I got a Warning for attempting to better the game for everyone... Lol.

If your connection is causing the Game Timer to be stationary and yet not enough to be on the Drop Timer, it's atrocious. Honestly, if you're lagging that bad, quit the game and come back when you've fixed the issue. There's no reason to ruin everyone else's game because Microsoft decided to be silly and give you a seven hour update involving a program that nobody uses. Ever.

Worse than Game-Throwing by far. At least you have a chance to recover and come-back. With lag, the entire game is gone. Doctor, GF, SK, Sheriff, the who deal. You, the Arsonist, and the Citizen just sit there awkwardly while you try to comprehend what has just happened. It ruins the game for everyone.

Well in all honesty it's not against the rules. And there's already a method in the game for dealing with it (the time out kick vote)

I have seen intentional lag created before and I've kicked the multiple people using it. It is however up to the moderator ingame to decide when to enforce this and when not to.

I've seen a group of people use it to cheat in lag chat. This also results in kicks.

Since there is no way to determine if the lag is intentional or not, we can't make it a black and white rule.

It's against the rules because it's a form of griefing.
