Maybe I worded it poorly, but playing every game with mass role claims degenerates the games.

Don't believe me, check out mafia scum newbie section. A person who did that every game was stopped from signing up eventually.

guess that makes sense; every game would just start the same. This was my first FM game that actually had roles and nights in it, so im still adjusting to wtf to do here lol. On the mod when im out of ideas or no leads i just start collecting roles.

It's fine to do sometimes for sure. Just don't do it every game. I do the same thing in the mod, anyways.
