The Mafia has Won
Mesk514 was lynched, she was a solo MASON
Congratulations to PowersThatBe and Naz on their win against the town!
Blinkskater was our sheriff detecting nawa, with everyone else taking up citizen slots.
General notes on the game - I hope for the town, especially MM, you can take away from this game that host meta and setup meta are terrible terrible TERRIBLE methods to base your accusations on. No role is confirmed, and there is no guarantee that a setup has to follow your own preconceived notions or expectations.
In regards to the solo mason, the setup really demanded it IMO. Counter-claiming masons from a scum team is a pretty generic play, and to put a pair of town masons into the game would have led to a really boring 2v2. Inserting any other TPR would have led to an imbalance in favour of town if also coupled with masons. And without masons, there would be nobody to CC a scum claim on them, which would lead to an imbalanced scum game. Therefore the setup ended up with a solo mason existing to CC any scum mason claims, and a sheriff to allow the town some footing to build off of. Unfortunately for town, PTB was successfully able to convince enough players that a solo mason would be unlikely, and built that into his own narrative to arrive at a win for his team.
In regards to the insults being thrown around this game, it was over the line from a number of parties. Future games will not be operating in this manner, and any and all players will be punished to the full extent of the guidelines, including bans on future signups.
Other than that im quite happy with the battle between the 'big kids' - as this wasn't a ladder game, I took the liberty in hand picking the roles and the players who filled them. My intent was to provide a game where newer players could experience how night less games and scum hunting without actions operates, without the pressure of being targeted themselves. This method is not employed in regular ladder games, and is in fact strictly prohibited, so please don't go into future games and lynch players based on their experience or on who is hosting.
Thanks again to everyone for playing, and hopefully we'll see you in the two new games currently on the signups page.
