With the recent patch that enables StarCraft 2 to be free to play, more players would be lured into the StarCraft 2 universe and thus boosting up the total player population. However, with our ever so toxic player base, newbies wouldn't find us to be exactly the most friendly gaming community out there, which may discourage their continued play. So could the community be affecting the growth and killing the game? Not saying that everyone is a prick but chances you will see one every game. The reviews are not helping too, the first review you will see in Mafia states 'mediocre game' which gives an emphasis on the awful community and mod misconduct. It is painful to host a lobby for 30+ minutes and seeing players leave.

Also Blizzard should fix the patch. There is no maintenance break and now I am lagging and disconnecting more often
