Spruance's exchange was SB16 and Hybrid was because he wanted a "show". It had nothing to do with being scared to give reads. If he was scared of his reads being challenged, he'd just continue to play like he did on day 1 - quietly using his "noob town" reputation to harvest null/town reads from afar. Self conscious people don't play this game like Spruance has.

He is genuinely a stubborn person. The mesk read, while facile, has been held by him since day 1. While that may seem insignificant, it's one of the few things I have to read him with. I imagine his behaviour would be more... "controlled"... if he was actually on a scumteam and his scumteam would tell him "no don't scumread mesk that's dumb because we can't get her lynched".

If he really is on a scumteam, he's basically completely ignoring what his scumteam is telling him to do and trolling hard. It's a possibility given his impulsive personality, but the town!perspective still feels more plausible. I'll choose to believe he would have some urge to cooperate with his own kin lol.
