Lol I think it works better in this, because you can really hunt for a conspiracy and look legit.

But in FM, you might overlook a chance of winning if you don't know you're role. Maybe look at your role like day 2 or day 3 lmao

It's not technically against the rules, but it's definitely can lead to situations where you are breaking the rules.
Not submitting night actions (since you don't know your role) might be considered by the host as a modkilling offense.
Not being active in your night chats might also be considered as being inactive.
Taking it too far and making choices in day chat that ultimately work against your wincon could be considered gamethrowing.

And saying you didn't want to read your rolecard is definitely not an acceptable excuse for any of these lol.
