I was pleased with how this game started, but it really went downhill fast when the most active people were killed. Seems that most players just wanted it to end lol, and then they just lynched off gut feeling as discussion was at a stand-still due to activity levels. I hope people had fun playing this anyway, and thankyou everyone for signing up
::
I love oops
Spoiler : :
In terms of play, I disliked two things in particular:
A. Scum only killing the active players so that they could have an easy win. (what is the point of signing up if that's all you want to do?)
B. Eggy and Mesk scum-reading everyone who disagreed with them.
I apologize for taking the game in the direction it did (and for my lack of activity, which was RL-motivated early and apathy-motivated later on).
I would say, though, that although the players killed "were active", that wasn't the only justification for killing them; it also had to do with their reads and the fact that other remaining players were being scumread by others.
I'll think about how I can make a game like this still fun while still doing "good" kills in the future.
It was a great idea, Crypt, thanks for hosting it. I'd recommend a night-counterpart to the Governor, like Secret Service Agent.

I am displeased.
But thanks for hosting Crypt.
Also loved the self vote. Drew less bad attention than it should have.
I hope I get better at gambits too.
It was probably an unnecessary one, given the relative lack of lynch-attention toward me, and I think Mesk brought up that I might be voting myself or bussing.
I was also kind of conspicuous about not speculating SA-wise throughout the game after the first page; bringing it up then was rather self-centered, though necessary once I had committed to voting myself.
I'm not sure if there was a safer vote though, and I didn't want to exonerate anyone after everyone was scumreading the SA.
Oh, another thing: Everyone scumread the SA for the Eggy vote but I think there were legit townie reasons for doing so: #1: Eggy wasn't pushed hard so the mislynch scenario was unlikely (I didn't even want to lynch him), and #2: it was a pressure vote to see how Eggy reacted and to keep him from lurking as scum.

GG Everyone, thanks Cryptonic for hosting
I really don't understand what happened after I died, whether the momentum dropped or what, but I guess GF being around didn't really help.
I will say I was kinda shocked that I got killed, and even more shocked how many people were willing to lynch me the next day if I hadn't died.
I still don't know why GF was scummy, people were basing it on "oh he's been afk and host didn't replace him so he's clearly scummy". GameFreak was one of my stronger town-reads day 1 but I guess him being afk didn't help.
But yeah Kovath I can't believe they didn't vote you after you put the vote on yourself, after two days in a row of not voting they suddenly decide to put a vote on you, out of all people. People were just too fixed on the inactivity I guess.
@Kovath I think most people saw you as scum because of your votes every day, not just one day. Why would you want to put a vote day 1 when the mayor could be to your advantage (if you are town). It also didn't help you conveniently put a vote on me and Calix the days we die (why would a town SA vote is though?).
I wished we could have used our chat more to our advantage, but for whatever reason Gyrlander was scum-reading me even before I spoke?? Lol.

It was your air of certainty I guess and being wrong. As for why you got killed, you can read the corrupt night chat and learn more about why it happened
GameFreak was a townread for me from D1 legitimately, but the afk thing was a convenient excuse for me to swap over and get the slot lynched (though my vote wasn't necessary in the end).
People were already locked into the reads positions after that I guess, I even posted an ISO on FB and no one even commented on it.
Like I said, I thought there were townie reasons for voting Eggy. I actually do believe that the SA vote on D1 is pretty worthless in terms of getting a lynch off and was going to RNG it - I changed my mind after coming up with the reasoning of pressure vote on Eggy to keep him from hard-lurking. -> Better alignment reads on him. If someone wants to explain why this reasoning is invalid, please do because I don't know why no one considered it and SA got hard scumread D1
Speaking of which, I didn't vote on N1. That was just a no-vote, I was trying to project uncertain town SA who didn't know what to do after getting hard-scumread D1. I did vote on you when you died though, I don't remember why, maybe apathy or something? Or it was to give Spruance a way to claim SA or something if necessary.
lol

Towards the end of the lynch, I was extremely hesitant which was I unvoted. I really didn't see a better lynch though unless it was PL so I figured going through with it was better then a no lynch. You mentioned something about everyone town-reading me, so I guess you were just as surprised as I was that people wanted to vote me for miss lynching.
At that point, the mayor and Mesk wanted everyone who listened to them to survive and whoever didn't to die. Mesk even forgot to include you in her list. (Something like Brendan and Eggy were town and that lynching in Spruance Gyrlander and GameFreak and Firebringer won the game.) it was almost as if people forgot you were playing :P
I think If your reasoning was slot based nobody would have believed you. It was all about how the mayor had two votes and that him being dead would be the best way for scum to win, given that most people wernt terribly active.
Yeah, that might have triggered some of the turns against you - however I do remember earlier in the day, people saying that you were a hard townread for them (Brendan did I think?) which is why I just went with it. I thought it also might have made people turn more toward Calix's Last Will, though instead things just faded away.
True lol, I'll need to examine what I'm doing to understand why I'm being so non-distinctive for people. It's not intentional, at least (being forgettable, I mean, though not making enemies is intentional).
Is my reasoning bad though? Slot-based reasoning is fair enough, isn't it, considering the Mayor was the only PR outed on N0? Unless you're referring to another SA action I did.

But yeah, if a slot was widely townread it died in the night.

Pretty cool game, though decision quality really went downhill after D1. Not sure why secondpassing, Gyr, and I were lynched tbh.
If secondpassing was playing in gamefreak's slot from the beginning I think the game would have gone pretty differently. It's kind of a big deal to not participate at all in a game like this. No idea what Eggy and Mesk were thinking after I died tho.

Spoiler : :
Good game, I have been in the transition on moving, so things have been busy with me.
Sorry wasn't as active with this game.
Grylander was kind of a shitty lynch.
I probably wans't going to scumread Kovath, and Spruance in my mind was always going to be a PL.
So well played scum.
I didn't really have any scumreads at end. I thought mechanically lynching town would have been good.
Meh, gg again.
Don't pet growlithe, he will bite you.
I just wanted to get the game over with. I had a feeling kovath was scum but didnt realize what situation I was in and how many mislynches we could afford. I didnt even bother doing the math. I also wasnt sure we had 2 scum left.

Almost forgot to vote for MVP.
Reason: Didn't lead any mislynches, but sometimes you don't need to do that.
Good job wasting town time with everything else you've posted.
I think my runner up would have been Gyrlander for being easy to read as town.
