If TDL is town, he has nothing to worry about from Firebringer, as if Firebringer were the nightkill, he wouldn't be stupid enough to take TDL with him.
If Firebringer is scum, he's not going to be night-killed. And it puts TDL in a position of power over him.
The only reason that would justify an instant break-up would be that TDL is scum.

This is a bad idea. While I am not against saying the intention of suiciding a partner. However here is the thing. Scum aren't going to kill someone they are loved with at night. Its just a bad plan, even if they can break up before then. They would much rather kill a town loved pair and hope the other suicides on the other to make the game pace go much faster.

They where chosen due to their personal out of game relationship I assume. because there was no in-game precious posts from them and the timing was within 2 minutes of each other. So there isn't anything in game fishy about their love.

Scum would want to become lovers asap. It stops them being paired with anyone else that day. And grants them day chat with it. Along with an additional +1/3 of the way to become harder to lynch.

This logic doesn't flow. So if I am scum, wouldn't TDL also not fear a night kill. If he is town and thinks I am scum he is protected from night kill is what you are saying, but you are saying if I am town I will correctly sort him anyways.

If two people break up at night ; one can still use the action on the other for that night. the effects of a night breakup (beside losing the neighbourhood) will apply at the start of next day phase.

same goes with suicide. if someone breakup with someone else during night and one of them die they can still force a suicide on each other during next day phase.
