Worst case, some sort of EMP that knocked the systems and landed through the water at a cleave point, making the plane dive in without tearing apart, sinking to the bottom.

From there, it'll probably explode due to the pressure of thousand meters below the water surface, and the pieces are obscured away by the water currents flowing at any direction.



If anyone can disprove this, be my guest it'll spark a more constructive discussion.

Then it wouldn't haven been terrorism if the plane was never made known. The whole point of terrorism is to strike fear into the hearts of all others... So making something go poof with no motive kinda rules that out.
