Sc2 Mafia Rating And New Players

Well i dont think sc2 mafia has the rating it deserves. Can't you reset it?

And new players find the game difficult to understand. Maybe a pop up tutorial for only to new players in a normal game? Some big arrows that show your card, goal and the action button?

I do not know if the developer want to risk the existing statue to reset.

I am sure mafia will get better rating ,if it implements a nice tutorial in game which clearly explains the game while playing it.

There used to be one and all it would do is cause a leave train when someone checked the option.

Tutorial isn't the problem, the rating is primarily from people who've been banlisted/KVlisted/watchlisted. Sorting by map rating is a hilariously bad way to choose a game anyway.

Yes because that one forced us to watch it. What i had in mind is, game start normally but if player bank is below 100 points fill the middle with text and arrows. Have netural prefer for doc,sheriff,bodyguard,veteran roles that is easy to play and blacklist roles like mayor,marshall,jailor.

At nights tell the player what is going on, that that many player has a night action and how he can do it also.
At day tell player to look at his card and his goal. Tell him he can talk to town and he should hide his role ,especially if it is not green.

Also if that old tutorial code still exist we can even recycle it like how we use "ranked or save mode". Just pust a picture at loading screen that shows you can change mods and if they wishes to use that "Tutorial mode" he can watch a detailed tutorial.

Put a secret code like "-tutorial be gone" for veteran players who lost their bank and does not want to see tutorial.

Yes a little hard work but i estimate at least %5 more players even at worst case.
