    S-FM Hyrule

This is my first setup. I think people probably figured that, if I ever hosted a S-FM, this would be the theme, but here it finally is It's still definitely a work in progress, and I'm looking to make the setup more balanced and playable (also, please let me know if I'm missing anything).

The Triforce...the sacred triangle... it is a balance that weighs the three forces: Power, Wisdom and Courage. If the heart of the one who holds the sacred triangle has all three forces in balance, that one will gain the True Force to govern all. But, if that one's heart is not in balance, the Triforce will separate into three parts: Power, Wisdom and Courage. Only one part will remain for the one who touched the Triforce...the part representing the force that one most believes in. If that one seeks the True Force, that one must acquire the two lost parts. Those two parts will be held within others chosen by destiny, who will bear the Triforce mark on the backs of their hands.

Spoiler : Order of Operations :

    1. Night Chat Opens
    2. ReDead roleblocks
    3. Shield/Magic Armor is used (+1)
    4. New Poe possesses
    5. Zelda fires arrow (-1 or roleblock)
    6. Poe visits
    7. Bus Driver swaps
    8. Lookout/Detective/Skulltula acts
    9. Sheriff examines
    10. Ganondorf checks
    11. Gerudo Thief/Arrow/Ganon/Link kills (-1)
    12. Stalchild/Like Like uses ability
    13. Doctor heals (+1)
    14. Impa guards (+1 to guarded person)
    15. Blacksmith gives item
    16. Wallmaster clutches

    Win Conditions:
Ganondorf's Forces: Kill the Triforce holders (Link and Zelda by default) and have Ganon/Ganondorf survive
Hylians: Defeat Ganondorf's Forces and the Gerudo Thief
Gerudo Thief: Defeat Ganondorf's Forces and the Hylians

    General Mechanics:

    • Starts on Day 1 with no lynch
    • # of votes to lynch = (50% of living players +1) votes
    • Lynch ends day
    • Days/Nights are 24 hours long
    • Ganondorf's Forces do NOT get a factional kill: their main kill is intended to be from Ganon
    • Upon fulfilling their win condition, Ganondorf's Forces win immediately and everyone else loses
    • In the event that Ganondorf's Forces arrive at a situation where they would normally win, but Ganondorf is dead, then no one will win the game

    Rules:
    • Days/Nights will begin when convenient for me. I will try to keep to a schedule, but I can make no promises
    • No discussion of the game outside of the game thread or night chat if applicable (including rep messages, visitor messages, avatars, signatures, PMs, skype, the phone, your couch, etc.)
    • Please send me a PM each night whether or not you are submitting an action (send me a "No action" PM, which certifies that you are not taking an action and that your last will is up to date)
    • English only
    • No autoplay videos. Otherwise, videos/images are OK
    • Codes which involve wordplay or which can be solved using a pen and paper are acceptable
    • No editing/deleting posts
    • No quoting PMs/feedback messages
    • No lurking (must make at least 3 relevant posts per day or be modkilled)
    • Questions in green or via PM to me.
    • Rule infractions will typically result in a warning: further infractions will result in modkill

i feel like the gedodude theif not being able to win with ganondorf/ganon is wrong scince thats where gandorf orginates form. myabe make it skull kid under the influence of majora mask?

i will be looking into this for Question but i am so ampt to see this now.

you are also missing a few others that should be put in...

unless if you plan on givng everyone rp names

    Re: S-FM Hyrule

I was thinking of putting Skull Kid in there, but I later decided that I wanted to keep this as OoT as possible (on that note, please disregard the "New Poe" thing: I had remembered an enemy that could invert your controls, but I later realized it was just the Poe from WW: I needed it though so I kept it). I was basing the Gerudo alignment on Nabooro and her dislike of Ganondorf, but I could change to Skull Kid if needed.

I couldn't think of RP names or elements to go along with most of the Hylian roles, so I just left them for now: I figure that I'll add them in later if I can come up with some.

I just realized: I forgot investigation pairings. Those will be added shortly.

fair enough, well if it OoT you are missing a key character....

    Hey Listen! Hey Listen!

it is not zelda unless you have that character in there

i have to think of the ohter notable characters as well, i think if yuo have it a nabooro then it makes more sense, but then i feel like it conflicts with zelda/link in that sense...

i will think of more characters that can be used.

i would also add in that the change being publicly announce might be bad becasue then someone can annound "hey i attacked X, he must be ganon now"

like i said when i get more time to sit down and read it more thoughly i will have questions and tweaks for it

inb4 removes Gerudo and adds Navi as a Jester >:-D

Yeah, I will remove the public announcement: that would be too easy...

i can see it now, navi is found, link's night action: kill player x {navi} or a wall master targeting navi

but seriously you need to have navi, it is no OoT setup without navi as a rp role

    Re: S-FM Hyrule

So if Zelda and Link die but Ganon is dead, the game ends with no winner? That makes it incredibly difficult for the Gerudo Thief, since if the 3 die (Zelda, Ganon, Link) while any of Ganon's forces are still alive the game automatically ends and he loses. Should add if Gerudo Thief is dead and Ganon's forces would win at that point but Ganon is dead, then game ends with no winner.

Uniting pieces by killing/hammering someone with a piece?

Also question - it said ganon can only die by master sword. Does this mean he is immune to lynches (unless master sword holder hammers)? I like the uniting idea though except it makes it harder for serial killer - link kills ganon and game theoretically ends right there.

I like the mechanic: it will be added shortly. As for Ganondorf, my original idea was that, as Ganondorf, he could be lynched but he would not be killed (he would become Ganon), and that he could not be lynched as Ganon. As for the Serial Killer, having that condition wouldn't make sense from a lore standpoint (since the power of the Triforce would make the Serial Killer irrelevant, as you could just wish for ubiquitous peace or something of that nature) but it would make the game more playable so I will consider it.

I'm going to add these things in addition to investigation pairings later today

    Re: S-FM Hyrule

Just sharing my opinions and suggestions. Could inspire.

    Spoiler : Random Stuff :
"Ganondorf's Forces: Kill the Triforce holders (Link and Zelda by default) and have Ganon/Ganondorf survive"
The game would end too quick if they die... Quick.

    Why not change this slightly?

I feel like Link and Zelda should be pro town (Dark green), that loses if both of them are dead but can win with the town if at least one of them are alive.
In the same sense, normal town will lose if all of them dies.

If above, Ganon could be pro scum (Dark red), that wins by having killed Link and Zelda with no opposing team but for the team to win they need to survive.

This could make a full circle (X : Must defeat, <-> allied) :
Pro Scum X Pro Town <-> Town X Scum
Pro Town X Pro Scum <-> Scum X Town

With the struggle, the Neutral Killer would have a fair chance to win.

As for the Gerudo Thief, isn't the Gerudo in favor of Ganon except of the rebel? I could be wrong.
I see you want it as OOT as possible, but it would be interesting to change the neutral killer to Vaati who is by himself.
He's not after the Triforce, but other reasons. His methods don't require any specific persons since it can be anyone.
