Re: S-FM 114: Pursuit of Happiness

Ok, I'm torn between Banshis & Azuriae.
I think that if Azuriae is mafia, then so is Slaol. Just because Azuriae keeps claiming Slaol is scum over and over but never pressures him and votes time.
Azuriae & Slaol & Ganondorf as the Mafia. If it's Banshis, I'm guessing Banshis & Bunny & Ganondorf as the mafia. Both of these pairs are staying distant from one another, and this list is probably pretty accurate.

That being said, I received a gun last night. If I can get a Doctor on me tonight, I'll use it on somebody. However, I don't think that I would receive a real gun from a blacksmith with Sen alive.. He's basically confirmed town and I haven't really done anything to warrant receiving it. I want to know who thinks I should use the gun, and if so, on who.

Anyways, I tried to swap to Escort last night, but I didn't know that I could only change roles every 2 days. So, I am still Doctor and healed Sen last night, because I thought Mafia would be want to get rid of the confirmed town lol. Guess not.

That being said, Banshis said he was going to block you, Sen. Did he? I guess I could understand him blocking Azuriae, because they're claiming eachother's spots. But if you weren't roleblocked, I am thinking that he is Consort that wanted to block a PR over a Citizen. Will need confirmation on this before I can vote anybody.

Shouldn't be hard, since he pretty much claimed being Mafia. d:

@Banshis: You should go Vigilante and shoot one of them, while Azuriae shoots the other.
So they either have to use two consorts and give up their night kill, or die.

Re: S-FM 114: Pursuit of Happiness

Oops I just got a PM back saying "That action is invalid." from Gerik when I tried to change roles. He directed me to read the setup when I asked why. I read the setup and that's the reason I took from it. Rereading, I guess the reason is that already held the role of Doctor. It was an oversight, not a slip.

It's going to be so easy for the Mafia to get a misslynch today that I'm not suprised that Azuriae/or/Banshis is jumping on my train. By the amount of activity, it didn't seem like we were going to get a successful lynch off anyways. Vigilante should shoot the person who hammers, or the person who puts my at L-1 if Sen hammers.

We would've only been Escort if I was able to make the change to Escort. But it was "invalid"

Hm. I don't know if I buy that, since the setup explains the "you can't become a role that you've held before" mechanic before getting to the part where it says that Mafia can only swap every two nights.

People have been ridiculously inactive this game.
The setup states that people who fail to post at least 10 times will get modkilled, yet that rule was never enforced.

No posts -> Nothing to analyze -> I'm the only confirmed Town -> Fuck it ->

Meh. Might as well go for Bunny then. This game is completely dead anyway.
Our loss will probably be confirmed by the lack of last vote because of inactive people.

You turned down the journalist article, saying it was a Corrupt Journalist, then when Banshis claimed Journalist you refuse to say thats a solid lead?
    You people are retarded.
Azuriae, Banshis, and then maybe Bunny or Cryptonic are scummy. But not as much as the blatant lead of Azuriae and Banshis. Good god, you people are retarded.

I voted Banshis instantly when he claimed Journalist and said ''Well, we've found the CJ''. Who's retarded?

And really, you scums are just focusing on the declined article and using it not to vote your scum buddies. It's pathetic.

I healed Slaol because he was either the Blacksmith or the Drug Dealer (bad choice I guess): tonight, I will go Escort because I don't think Doctor is useful when there is likely a perfect-kill mafioso out there.

Re: S-FM 114: Pursuit of Happiness

The game has ended! The counterfeiters have resigned. 'MURICA has won!

    Starting Roles List:

    Citizen Hypersniper
    Citizen powerofdeath
    Citizen Sen
    Detective NoctiZ
    Journalist Azuriae
    Doctor Ganondorf
    Coroner Banshis

    Corrupt Journalist Bunny
    Consort Slaol
    Framer Cryptonic

    Final Roles List:

    Citizen Hypersniper
    Citizen powerofdeath
    Citizen Sen
    Sheriff NoctiZ
    Vigilante Azuriae
    Doctor Ganondorf
    Vigilante Banshis

    Arms Dealer Bunny
    Mafioso Slaol
    Consort Cryptonic

    My thoughts on the game:

Despite a few people's insistence before the game started that it was imbalanced in favor of a certain faction (there was no consensus as to which faction this was), I feel as though the game was actually pretty fair to all factions. Even though the mafia took an early lead and remained under the radar, they eventually hung themselves during the day and the town quickly turned against them. What really surprised me is that everyone in the mafia decided to claim power roles, though I suppose this was at least partially due to the early deaths of 2/3 of the citizens. Looking back on it, the fact that the mafia only killed citizens was probably their downfall. It allowed the TPRs to piece things together and rally in the end.

Oh, and before anyone asks- I put a coroner in the game at the start for two reasons:

One, most people assume if a coroner exists that a janitor must also exist and I was curious to see if the player who received the role would keep it expecting to see cleanings in the grave.

Two, I felt if I made town too powerful to start, they might not change their roles. Part of the point of this game was that I was trying to to test my concept for dynamic roles to see if it could work/be balanced, so I wanted people to actually change roles, and I figured that if mafia didn't take a janitor on day one, the coroner would probably change to something else by night 2.

    Some other things:
I was pretty impressed with powerofdeath for calling out two of the mafia (Slaol and Cryptonic) on day one. His final PM to me also was funny because he wanted to become a vigilante (and presumably shoot Slaol or Cryptonic). I was surprised that so many people turned against him for suspecting them, and even more surprised that no one revisited his reads after his death.

The corrupt journalist giving an article to the journalist on day 1 was pretty amusing, and I loved the choice by Azuriae to turn it down.

The fact that the blacksmith giving vests was better than guns was interesting to me, since vests by nature cannot be proven to be fake unless someone dies, by which point it is too late.

It was also pretty funny to me that there seemed to be a consensus during the day that Slaol's plan was good and that he was town for proposing it, but Banshis was the only person who actually followed it and became a journalist, and never even got to use the journalist ability, because he changed roles again the following night.

Oh and I think my favorite thing was when Cryptonic made his huge scum slip on day 3, and everyone pointed it out, but then decided to lynch Bunny instead.

    Some stats:
Ganondorf (doctor) was the only person that was capable of changing roles that didn't. Though he wanted to for night 3, he didn't realize that it was a day action (tsk, tsk Ganondorf. Someone didn't read the setup!) and so remained doctor.

Banshis changed roles the most (he changed every single day), but he also had the least useful actions. He didn't use his journalist ability, then changed to escort and roleblocked a citizen. His only action which would have actually done something (shooting Slaol night 3) was redundant because Azuriae was also going to shoot Slaol. And doubly redundant due to the mafia resigning.

Slaol too, did not do anything particularly useful (night action wise) for his faction, despite choosing both of the roles which possessed the powerful one-use abilities. First he picked drug dealer and only gave fake vests (never using the exploding gun) and then took mafioso and resigned. I guess you could say he was the Banshis of the mafia.

Also, Slaol submitted actions for night 3 in case Cryptonic didn't want to resign with him and he submitted killing Sen. Which means all the mafia kill targets were citizens. MAFIA, Y U NO KILL MIDDLE CLASS?

Vote for an MVP with vote tags.

    100 votes to hammer.
    (^no more accidental lynches)

I had a somewhat similar "problem" because I didn't quite realize that it's a day action and I could've switched to Sheriff and checked Slaol.. but guess everything turned well? :P
