there are 2 scenarios based on wording of wiki. "need to visit 8 people in one night" that either means go to 8 different houses, or be in a house with at least 9 people in it (including yourself).

if its go to 8 different houses, then this is reserved for arson only, if its the later scenario then anyone can do it so long as they can visit, and all people have to do is all go to the same house(like everyone agree to go to house number 1(or red)) and 14 people could get the achievement.

i think its the later, ive tried getting people into one house but no one will listen to reason or attempt 510 points >.>

Arsonist doesn't visit anyone but himself when burning. He just pushes a detonator, basically.

No role (save for the Bus Driver) actually visits more than 1 person per night, in the end. However, the night actions work on a sort of quantum uncertainty principle; if you get paradoxes involved, there can be multiple visit targets.

after rereading the wiki "Visit 8 people in one night" im amending my current understanding, no longer at least 8, it must be 8 exactly, so its near impossible to happen without flat out pregrouping and organizing players (X y z ) etc visit this person in particular. which is just outrageous. exactly 8.....

I already banned coordinating action, has to be random :P Though you are free to make setups that are prone to it.

Just as an FYI, he means if you submit a replay where you get the achieve by coordinating action, he will banlist you. Even if all the coordinating happens in game; Saying "everyone use Red as your target" is a no no.

Also as for your failed attempt, all I'm going to say is "Working as intended".

It's pretty simple. It's not like you're having a party at someone's house, you have to TARGET 8 people. The achievement isn't "target the same person as 7 other people."

If you visit someone and 7 other players visit them, you are still visiting 1 person. You tested 8 people targeting 1 person and it didn't work, so that pretty much settles it to begin with.

Visiting has always meant targeting.

No, even if there are a bunch of Bus Drivers, you still only visit 1 person (unless you're a BD, then you visit 2). I'm not sure if 8x Witches would work, but it might. I was present in Staff Chat when DR explained the conditions for obtaining each of the new achievements.

You can rest assured that by "visiting 8 people," it means "visiting 8 houses". Otherwise, it would overlap with Mr. Popular.

I am not authorized to speak further on how exactly to obtain it.

This is an extremely stupid rule. Why are we banlisting people for getting an achievement? Why not just NOT accept replays of people coordinating night actions for this achievement instead of just banning them..

I completely agree. I don't agree with the rule, all I know is the rule exists and I want to make sure no one is punished for not knowing the rule.

how many different roles can get the achievement (ie. is it role specific?)
how many people are needed to accomplish it
how many different roles are needed to accomplish it

if paradoxes are involved, i'm guessing a BD is in there somewhere.

bus driver, witch, beguiler are the only ones who could initiate a redirection elsewhere, you need at least 7 of those 3 roles to make this happen. otherwise you cant get 1 person to that many houses. the simplest method would be to have 8 witchs and have them all target 1 person, and send 1 person to 8 different houses. theres also my bd chain that i setup. and then the beguiler method would be to beguiler onto another beguiler etc etc and the 1 person would be sent down the chain setup. each beguiler would chose another beguiler, and then the 1 person would end up at 8 different houses.

It is not against the rules to make a save with 8 bus drivers or 8 beguilers or 8 witchs in it. It is only against the rules to coordinate who is to target what.

It's only until the contest ends. If we find anyone coordinating action to produce the achievement I will be banning them, once the contest ends it's free game. I also have a list of people who don't know I know they're coordinating to try and get it so it'll be funny when they get banned.
