    How you keep track / clues of Mafia

    Some of us simply play and use our brains. Some of us use Notepad or Word to write a document.



    Post here what your method is, and if you use a text document then post a recent example.

    It's fun to see how others think.

    Maybe it could also inspire with a more organised text document to make it easier.



    I'm currently figuring out the most efficient method of writing a text document during a game.




    What I do is Notepad, using Deskpins to keep the window top-layered during the game.

    In FM I sometimes take notes. For SC2 Mafia, memory is sufficient.

    My best strategy is simple. There is always a situation when there is a colored name or Justin Bieber name or very talktive person.
    What I always do is not checking these people, cause I think they are too obv to be susp. But now I realise that it's a good idea sometimes to check the one whom you wouldn't ever check! That made me find sk and mafia member once.
    Also here is the tactic to find a consig who claims inv: His lw investogations are usually sticks to the order of killed people, as consig tells gf the role of checked guy at night and gf killes him.
    As jailor, there are 2 nice strategies:
    1. Put some pressure on your target. If he said his role 2-3 seconds after jailing then i often trust him. You may think of your target being susp only if he says nothing/tells role late/tells role only after you ask for it (if the question came up 3-4 secs after jailing). Oh, sry, about pressure. If it's n3 or later you may jail a guy and say "I am sorry but sheriff told you are a member of mafia" and press "execute" fast. In most of situations mafia members just give up so you your bluff worked. But if he defends ragely or has some real clues, then it's hard to get whether he lies or not... OH! Don't forget to press "unexecute" after targeted townie revealed himself XD
    2. Just tell smth like "I help townies, survivors and jesters only, cause jesters deserve to win too" (aka troll). Bad guys usually say like "Oh, nice, I am jester, ty))
    And "HATGA!" dude dies cause he revealed himself as jester. That means he is either jester or really evil dude, anyway his death is better for town))

    There is also a very bad and hard move: as sheriff and good player by yourself you may find a guy who is obvly maf to you but you haven't checked him yet. Try to fake your own lw with this for town to trust you when you die. But good luck with 6th sense.

    BEST WAY TO SPOT OUT MAFS when maf member has been executed. Search the log for those who DIDN'T VOTE TO PUT MAF ON TRIAL, cause mafs usually vote guilty on their buddy but they NEVER do trial him. If it's hard for you to search it you always can know who are totally non-mafs =3

    Sc2Maf = I use the RAM of my brain. (If ya know what I mean ;)) I then put that into a last will.

    FM= No notes, or posting notes in game, or I make a word document organized by days and names exclusively.
    Host= Google Drive. Use word documents and spreadsheets.

    Gotta say SC2 Mafia is too simple and fast to be writing notes. Just go with memory. In Forum flavor, notes can be helpful to parse through the mess of pages one would have to go through.
