    Dead Chat Point Game

    So I know you already have the roulette game but I was wondering if there has been any thought to adding other forms of dead chat games? Like say blackjack or being able to bet points on a particular player (or role/group) and see if they'll win. Just something to make dead chat more interesting.

    i agree with the betting points on a player/role/group, since once ur dead in roulette you pretty much get bored. and majority of the times the new dead players usually rage-quit.

    after you bet, you should get ur points doubled/tripled or something.
    It should be like:
    if you bet from n1 - n3: triple ur points if u get it right.
    n4-and on: doubled ur points if ur right.

    And if you bet it on a neutral evil, you should also win more points.

    Hangman. To prevent cheating by using words that don't exist, make it single-player and make a word bank. So here is how it would work: type -hangman # (a number of 5-9). Depending on the number, it will choose a word of that length and it works just like normal hangman. You win a point for every letter guessed right, and lose a point for every letter guessed wrong. If you geuss the entire word when it has 2 or more letters left, you gain 2 extra points for those letters.

    So the betting on a person/role/etc. to win only promotes game-throwing? Well wouldn't they be banned for game-throwing? It's not worth the risk, but then again, I suppose its not worth the temptation either.

    But anyway, I like the idea of this thread. Being in graveyard is so boring. I just afk, because no one likes to roulette high stakes.

    i say closest without going over, guessing 1 would be a legit strategy. closest person doubles their bet, every1 else loses points according to who bet the least and who bet the most. least betters lose all their points bet and big betters lose enuf only to fill up the winners gained points. like texas hold em

    I think for something like this where the max bet is 5 points.

    I'm amazed the topic went this far, but yeah. I was browsing some other threads and noticed the complaints a few players had and an argument about "How dead chat is supposed to involve commenting on other players strategy." and this idea was born. Five points sounds great but I'm wondering how far this can go. Let's say each day you can change or modify your bet.

    Examples:

    Bet on player A
    Player A survives the night
    You can keep going with this bet or remove it to place on another player, though sticking with one player combos for each night they live and can earn you more points
    If player A dies, you lose your points
    If Player A's team wins, you get back a small amount of your original points as a consolation
    If you change your vote to player B and THEN Player A dies, there is no drawback, save for the Player A surviving combo

    Or you can go with place all bets on, say, mafia team
    Prize handout isn't as great as betting on a single player, but it has a higher success rate

    I'm just throwing out more ideas.

    Itīd be nice but setups are far more often unfair than not. Hell, balance isnīt even intended most of the time, many roles arenīt in the game to "win" but to confuse the actual contenders.
    Itīs unfortunate but especially in context of lagchat the dead shouldnīt influence or be influence by the living in any way.

    Deadchat IS afkchat unfortunately simply because the game is over for the dead (even if they can still win). The real "solution" would be to grant players partial points on death so they can leave and start a new match.

    I fail to see how adding in more dead chat games influences living players from dead players, unless there are skypers in which case they should be banned anyways.

    Granting points upon you dying is easily exploitable since you can have a friend or some party you're in lead a lynch on you or (if they're a killer) kill you so you can quit. Leaving early should give you no reward IMO because it's just as it sounds, you're leaving the game instead of sticking to the end. I'm just trying to find a way to make staying more enjoyable, and leaving because you died strikes me as rage quitting.
