There's a reason I almost exclusively side with the mafia as survivour. Since claiming Survivour never works, I always try to screw the town over as much as possible then side with scum to finnish them off.

happened just yesterday : i was afk for the first 3 days (ye i got some stuff going on, legit afk)
anyway dude gets voted to get hung just as i come back, i sum up the chatlog, telling people there cant be a speculated executioner since i'm the only benign neutral.
after killing neutral / 3 mafs were lynched and only witch was left the retarded invest checks me, adn the town decides me to lynch, as i was actively helping and lynched 3 antitowns.
the idiot noncontributing witch was just left alone (it was like 5-6 townies survivor and witch left....)
pubs are just assholes / retards

I always claim survivor day one. Yes, I have been lynched and executed night one/day one.

However, claiming survivor day one is just as good as claiming survivor day 5.

Anytime late game someone claims survivor, they are lynched.

At the start of the game, at least you make a reasonable attempt to put your role out there sustain some credibility with town/mafia.

Troll pubs will execute you because they troll. It is not becuase they think you are lying, it is becuase they troll.

How many damn games has people come out night one and say I am Godfather? Plenty. And they are never lynched. Fear of jester? Probably. However, a survivor poses absolutely no threat and the easy solution is to have a sheriff simply check him night one if everyone is so worried that he is witch/mafia. Have a lookout check him. So many other solutions that a wise town (and I don't use that term often) could do.

It's not because they think he is witch or even amnesiac. They troll. And it is towns like that, that loses a free day to use that effort into locating the mafia/sk/evil.

Yea, but claiming day 1 as survivor is the lame way to win. The way I see it, I'm Neutral.
This is my priority list as surv:

1) solo win
2) neutral win
3) win with whatever faction will end game faster
4) if it comes down to my vote decides who wins, I vote with whichever faction I believe played the game the best.

Game hasn't ended after lynch so it goes into night phase first.
