So last night I got to attend the technical rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games, and that shit is whack.

I don't know how the rest of the world will respond to it, but the opening ceremony is going to be awesome! I can't say much because of the whole #SaveTheSurprise venture, but it's very... British. It begins like Lord of the Rings and ends up like Cirque du Soleil on crack.

Do yourselves a favour and tune in tomorrow to see it.

Well I hope you all enjoyed that Opening Ceremony.

I hope you enjoyed the sheep, the cows and the geese milling in the fields as people played Cricket and Badminton.

I especially hope you enjoyed the Queen and James Bond jumping out of a helicopter into the stadium o.0 As well as Mr. Bean showing up to help play Chariots of Fire. What I thought was a Grim Reaper during the rehearsal turned out to be a huge Lord Voldemort that towered over all the sick children. I especially liked the 60s -> present diorama, with people flying around on jetpacks set to David Bowie and the tribute to punk rock.

Yeah it was pretty cool I was a bit let down that the parachuters didn't land in the stadium, they could have set off a smoke bomb as they landed and shuffled the queen in there! xD

I think getting the Queen to actually appear in the video and call Daniel Craig 'Mr. Bond' was surprising enough xD

I didn't like the dancing teens part much either, although they did pay a lot of attention to style and form there which was nice.

Overall great show. The part with the rings was awesome. Also really liked the way they lit the flame at the end and the bits with the Queen and James Bond and Atkinson's antics
