Err, honestly? It's very unlikely he made this claim without actually getting a tonne of information, and getting Soos to back him up would have been a huge risk. This virus thing also aligns with his role. He probably genuinely got the information.

Maybe, but that's more of a rule of thumb than something set in stone. Any generalization about krc can be countered with "but this is krc" lol. Granted this is my first krc game, but my understanding is we probably shouldn't take anything for granted.
